Is there a real danger of getting banned for buying gold?

Just wanted to ask a quick question:

Is there any real danger of getting banned for buying gold on the EU servers? Has anyone here or anyone you know gotten banned for buying gold?

A good friend of mine has bought quite a few thousand gold before and he's never gotten banned. I've seen various topics about people being banned, but nobody I directly know has been banned for it.

Verts what method did you use to buy your gold? Was it from another player or from a gold farmer website such as www.susanexpress.com

 

I purchased it from Susanexpress. The service was great, but I hate the fact that they call you to verify your ID. Speaking on the phone with the nice Chinese lady was horrible, I couldn't understand what she was saying

 

They advertise on the servers at least 15-20 times a day. It really pisses me off. However, they can provide good service, so I would recommend doing so.

In my opinion, the risks of being banned for buying gold is minimal, due to the millions of people who regularly play the game. Also, I feel the risk is mainly calculated by how much you buy.

Example: Buying 1,000 Gold may be less likely to be banned than if you randomly get 100,000 Gold in one day. That's more easily trackable.

I was gonna purchase from susan but didn't know if they were legit I'd prob buy around 15k in 1 shot

 

Yeah susanexpress is pretty legit, their service is really quick and efficient too.

 

I have been banned for like 2 days for buying gold, But a crappy excuse seems to get you out of it with blizzard

 

i used epicmmoservice here on sythe twice and never have gotten banned. blizzard isn't as anal about rwting as jagex is

 

I bought a few k. But I hear if you buy like 1-5k your fine more than that is a risk.

Nah I only use TTGaming. I get a small discount so I use them and the service is alright.

 

Never got banned bought gold a bunch of times, just make sure you do a AH or Face to Face trade....don't let them log into your account i got my US account banned that way.

I've purchased gold for only one site. (I did research on the actual site to make sure it was safe, etc etc) From what I've purchased, which is quite a lot if I'm honest, (touch wood) I haven't been in trouble.

I think it depends which method you use and such.
& to not buy a ridiculos amount all at once.

 

I think you wouldn't as long as they trade you the gold face to face instead of by mail.

 

I've bought thousands of gold. The only time I got banned was when I was stupid enough to let the seller on my account. But if you don't buy too much at a time (less than 10k) you should be fine.
