99 Summoning?

Hey everyone, I was just wondering, I have 85 Attack, Strength, and Defense, I badly want 99 summoning. So I was thinking I'm going to be killing waterfiends for about 34k crimson charms (needed for 99)

How long will this take me to get? And what should I set my attack style to, It'd be nice if I got close-ish to a 99 combat skill at the same time. (I want the fasted attack style to get the job done).

How many crimsons could I get (I also have 46 summoning atm) per hour? I'll stop collecting once I have enough for 68, get 68 and use a bunyip at fiends from then on.

How many per hour, hours needed, thanks in advance

EDIT: Using Sara sword, Neitiznot Helm, Karil's body and skirt/Black D'hide, Dragon Boots, Ring Of Life/Wealth, Strength Amulet, Combat Bracelet/Barrows gloves(If I beat RFD before I start), recommend me anything to change.

EDIT 2: I might do a bit if slaying for charms too. Does 42 - 60 slayer sound good ? Training attack with a whip + Defender (For slayer), or should I go higher? I would like 69 summoning before I start fiends (for bunyip, and 46 summoning at the moment).

 

It's possible to get 100 - 200 charms per hour at waterfiends I think, and 300+ per hour bursting rock robsters.

 

Slay for your charms,If your efficent,you can get high slayer,higher combat levels, and good Summ. This will help you way more then spending alot of money on burst robsterrrsssss

 

If you're going to kill waterfiends, I suggest getting a Chaotic Maul (if you feel up for it). Chaotic Maul kills waterfiends very fast.

 

for waterfiends you need something that has good stab, i suggest zammorakian spear.

 

I have higher stats then you and I had a hard time at waterfiends, I suggest rock lobsters or slayer.

But if you are still going to do waterfiends as stated a good stab weapon is needed I don't know the ss stats but if it has 70-80 stab it should be good.

ZS or Chaotic Maul or GS own wfs rather quickly.

 

Gold charms are the best to save money with, so I recommend doing rock lobsters/crabs.

You can get around 4 charms in one drop, which is very good. Ice bursting makes it very easy to kill.

They just mean doing Slayer, a lot of slayer monsters have good charm rates, so you will accumulate a lot of charms in the long run, and save a lot of money.

 

+ you make good money on slayer, and get closer to yet another 99 as well.

I'd go with using slayer to get your charms, but it'd take a while.

 

Waterfiends would be best bet for charms

Killing waterfiends are gonna be a bit hard at you're lvl so be prepared for long trips.. also a good way to go about getting charms is doing the distractions and diversions summoning thing and you'll get 3x drop rate for charms.. it only lasts for like a half hour but you can pile alot of charms in that time especially at crimsons. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Familiarisation

 

I recommend doing slayer for charms, too. Being as 99 summoning costs A LOT in shards alone, not to mention secondary ingredients. But if you don't need any cash, I'd use some kind of weapon that has a "crush" option in melee, it's most effective [super effective in pokemon speak lololol] so a SS / GS / the maul mentioned above.

I'd personally opt for Rock Lobsters, look on Youtube, there's some good guides on bursting them.

 

Thanks guys. I'll probably do Dragon Battle Axe + Rune defender until 90 attack on fiends, then switch to Zamorakian Spear (Controlled xp).

I Personally suggest slayer/rock lobsters but if u consider doing waterfiends make sure you have a good stab weapon like zammy spear

 

It's crush, Waterfiends are weak against crush and have excellent protection from stab/slash.

 

Bursting rock lobs is alot faster. try that.

 

I don't want to burst lobsters, costs too much, and I want to be training melee, not mage.
