    iPod Nano 6th Generation

Yesterday, the newest generatrion of the iPod Nano was unveiled. It is about 1 square inch in size, and has a new touch screen. More information can be found here:

What are your thoughts on the new upgrade? Good? Bad? Discuss!

I suck with technology. Sister got me a phone and I told her to give it back. Such pains.

I think their view that "smaller is better" is a little misguided, this is just ridiculous. The 5th generation was going in a great direction and they seem to have pretty much ruined it with this, it's a shame.

I don't like the size, it looks like it could be very easily lost. I agree with Matt, they were going in a great direction and now they are going a completely different way.

I think this one will do great. It would take up little space in your pocket, but still has a "next gen" gadget feel.

I think they made it a little too small. How will people with big hands press that little screen?

I agree with most of you. It's just too small. I really liked the 5th Generation, but now... They do look pretty cool, but I'd rather buy a bigger more useful iPod with a touch screen for 50$ more.

I completely agree. Generation 5 was amazing, this one seemed to have derailed nano. :p

It's like some sort of cross between an iPod Touch and Shuffle. :s

Yeah. As 333 said. Big hands wouldn't go good with this new generation. But, to be honest this nano looks too girly. I wouldn't wan't to see a guy with big hands with a lime green sqaure inch iPod. Looks pretty pathetic if you ask me.

I really don't care about it looking "girly," it's just the size that bugs me.

I personally think it would be nicer as an iPod shuffle.

    iPod Nano 6th Generation

With the iPad, I thought the only "innovation" that Apple would have on the iPods would be making them bigger. Instead, Apple did the opposite. To be honest, The sales of non iPod Touch iPods has been slowly but steadily decreasing. That's why the iPod Nano received the video camera instead of the Touch last year; Apple tried to keep consumers' interests in the non-WiFi iPod line. This year, Apple is adjusting to the new market; for example, it stopped upgrading the iPod Classic (But seriously, do any of you know anyone who bought the classic??). In the future, I can only see the iPod Touch still lasting in the iPod line - I mean, it's not as BIG as an iPad (AKA four iPhones taped together), but it's not as small as the current Shuffles/Nanos that you will misplace it.

What the hell is that. It looks so fucking tiny. It must be incredibly fragile. I'd hate to get something like that. The fifth generation one looked a LOT better.

    Ruined. Completely ruined.
