Runescape Armour Update

I think that the Runescape armour is getting quite boring. It's always the same colors, and everyone has the same sets on.

This is a suggestion that I will post on the Runescape community forum if members here like it enough.

What if we could make trim and icons, using the smithing skill? And then also be able to carve certain things into our armour (obviously not just anything, Jagex would have to make it). Such as like an initial, any shape, a God symbol, something that looks good to go on the chest of your platebody (you could do this on any anvil). And then be able to make trim like red, blue, green, yellow, and you could just add it to armour by using it on a platebody.

Once you edit your platebody, you won't be able to trade it unless it's cleaned. To get rid of the trim, you could use a chisel on it. To get rid of the carvings, you could add one bar of whatever kind of body it is (rune bar if it's a rune body), on an anvil, and it would get rid of the carving.

runescape got boring when they took out staking, pking, and bounty hunter.

They should sell gold themselves, powerleveling, items.

They would make waaaaay more money and have waaaaaay more players.

 

We shud be able to have like... an 'paint armour tool or modify armour tool.. so you can change the colour of say, a DFS or bandos.. yes it wont look pretty but i think it would bring a creative side to RS... not to mention the code that will need to be made >_< stupid idea i know but sounds trippy.

 

They won't do it, that would be way too much coding and would take far too long.

 

i agree, but instead of symbols and stuff, if we can infuse gems, like d2 or something, that maybe changes the hue of the color, or even gives us like +1 hitpoint, would be fun =)

 

This, as much as I'd like this to be implemented, I highly doubt they'll even consider it.

 

Can't you change the colour of some armours?

 

Well for some armor you can buy ornament kits now to make em look cooler

but they cost soooooooo much.

 

Agreed lol. I found that the old bounty hunter crators were funner than the original, old wilderness.

 

As stated above, this would require so much coding and time to do. And if they actually did, you could only really do it on armor up to rune using your system. How would you get rid of the carving on a barrow set for instance?

This is a great idea but would take a lot of work to implement.

I support charmanders idea. Infusing gems would be sweet, but not just like your run of the mill kinda shit...like rare gems from monsters and quests. When infused, they give extra bonus or/powers.

 

Yea that'd be kool if you could custom colour your armour, a bit like the way you can colour the whip...

God symbol = most of the god symbols are now covered by the new treasure trail update
red, blue, green, yellow = zamorak, saradomin, guthix, (g)

I agree, although I highly doubt they would consider it. They just came out with like 300+ new items didn't they?
