Electric car conspiracy.

I don't think you realize how many pit stops would have to be made. The government didn't want to just go out and build a whole bunch across the nation, and see the electric car die. Then have a bunch of useless refueling stations.

 

Of course oil companies are suppressing the advancements of alternative fuel vehicles.

A similar scenario is in the battery market. I'd bet any amount of money that science can make an infinite life battery, but the question is why would they? It's more practical to sell the consumer thousands of batteries and a lower price than sell a whole family three batteries that cost more.
