    I do not support.

I would say sythe is trying to stay away from giving normal users power.

As i am a moderator on another website, i know that they can specify what powers to give user groups. However i honestly believe it will be abused.

I've often thought about suggesting this many times, at the moment I can't think of any cons so until someone highlights something negative about implementing this idea, I support.

People will no doubt scam someone and close the thread before that person has time to post, could lead to multiple scammings on one thread.

Outside the Market Would be good But why not use the report button and ask a mod to do it?

This is a really bad suggestion, sorry to say.. If they allow people to close, people will scam someone and straight off close there thread. It's to easy, plus. What is the point in closing threads, it's totally pointless IMO.

Support - people continue to post on threads after the account has been bought.

They can learn the use on the private message option. :)

Its good practice that once you've sold your acct to report your post and request it be closed.

I always do just to get it off the front page because its already over with.

    Less mod logs for mods.

And anyone could just close when someone has proof of them scamming.

Support. We can implement this just outside of the market to prevent scamming.

Another way to implement this without having people scam is that it could take 30 minutes to lock, or the ability to bump it to the next page.

Read a response via google from 08 I think from SMR.

It would make the servers load much higher when trying to go through mod logs.

Also mods would close threads and people would reopen them or vice versa.

How thew fuck can this be abused? All they can do is lock their own threads, meaning they don't want any more discussion going on, is that such a bad thing?

Don't post shit out your ass without thinking about it, please.

I support, however, this won't happen. Staff members have continuously mentioned that they refuse to give normal users staff member powers/abilities.
