Report a scammer section..

I've got an idea for the Report a Scammer section.

Anyone who goes through the RaS often, knows that there are plenty of reports that have missing information, so mods request the information and leave them sitting there for a while.

These extremely clutters the section, so what I'm suggestion is a "Pending" section for mods to move these reports to, that way only unread supports are there, making it easier for the mods to work through, and have less of a mess.

Basically, it will just be a sub-forum, exactly like the Report a Scammer Archive.

Actually, this has some good merit to it. Cleaning up the section allowing for easier review of reports would separate the valid reports and the crap.

Another good idea would be making the section moderated, so the reports have to be approved before they're posted.

 

This is just what powerbot put in place a month or so ago, worked well I guess : P

 

The section is supposed to be a place for people to search for background checks. Moderating it wouldn't let that happen in a fast enough time. It doesn't really matter, as long as the section is cleanish.

 

I suggested this a while ago but Sin pointed out some flaws and we decided to leave it be. Having a pending section will just cause more bashing if we do not answer it right away and having all open reports in one section is better. I usually leave any reports that require more information open for 24 hours and then lock it. The user can PM me or message me on msn if they want me to open it again so they can update info.

 

Seems like a good idea, you can't really go wrong with less clutter.

 

I agree with this idea. I also agree with the previous suggestion that the posts should be ordered oldest to newest

 

That makes sense. It doesn't matter anyways. There aren't that many reports sitting there anymore anyways.
