Why are we racist?

Hey, I'm White and I'm aware of that. I've noticed that there are a lot of racist questions towards Black people and honestly It makes me embarrassed to be White. I personally love every race. I've also noticed that there are some hateful questions towards White people as well. Heck, I even agree with most of them. Don't you think It's weird that most questions aimed at Black people are mostly from White people, but the questions aimed towards White people are from all races. Makes you think, huh? So my fellow white people, why spread all this hate towards Black people?​

This is a very hard and complicated question, but I'll lay down a few points.
I think that at one time it might have been an instinct, just as it is to protect your species over others. Racism is passed down from generation to generation. It is actually easily used, as it induces humor.
This is why it will probably never be eradicated from society, even though today, black people and white people have equal rights in the United States.

 

I learned about this in sociology.
And what rsaccounttrader said was right.
It was started to show superiority over other races.

This isn't a hard or complicated question at all. Grandparents or relatives from the generation they grew up in still feel the hate that they were forced to feel due to propaganda. It can also be struck by fear of an occurance that happend so more of a fear thing. Also people do it as a joke to seem cool for peers. All common sense really

 

I belive That Its becuse Of Human Nature But thats Just My Opinion .

 

It's a combination of observation and the media. We as humans automatically judge people based on stereotypes, it's in our genes. Everybody does it, wether you'd like to admit it or not. And stereotypes aren't just rumors that fly out of nowhere, they are factual observations in behavior patterns and physical properties of a specific race. These stereotypes may only exist in the minority, but there are still people that display them thus leading us to do what comes naturaly; prejudge and profille that person based on the worst stereotype as a form of self preservation. Racism is based on fear, which leads to hate. If you saw an african american walking down the street that looked like steve ercle, and on the other side of the street, saw an african american with obvious gang relations and his pants sagging to his knees, which side of the street would you walk on? We as humans are only reacting to a basic instinct that come naturally to us. That being said, all races have bad stereotypes against them, and profiling is wrong, but unfortunately the media and social standards submits races to act upon the stereotypes we profile them for. You can't ask everyone to stop hating, because with induviduality, comes fear. And the day we stop being induviduals, is the day we stop being human.

That is mainly because of their lack of education and their wealth, not the color of their skin.

 

Sadly tyro is correct I am black but i do not steal,rob or rape/murder but growing up i did steal and rob people i am ashamed of it. But i turned my life around im in college have a honest job and more discipline

 

Yes this is also true the USA education system is very bad. Most people ive ment barely make it by and want stuff and they know their friends do it and got nice stuff by doing it so they continue to steal/rob people. then it becomes fun to get what you want at anytime and people are scared of you but you wear it like a badge of honor.

 

Sure statistics may show that, but you shouldn't be racist anyway, just because someone is black doesn't mean they steal, murder, or rape anyone.

Where I live if you say anything bad to a black person you are deemed racist, but most people aren't racist they just think the person is annoying and when they say things back to the person they get deemed racist. About a week ago, at a subdivision near my school, some white girls accidentally splashed some black girls at the community pool and the black girls went crazy and 15-30 black people (boys and girls) showed up on the white girls front porch and were bitching them out about getting splashed. After another 30 minutes or so, a couple white people showed up at the white girls house and there was a big fight between the black people and the white people and the black people were on the news calling it a hate crime and stuff like that, when it was just some white people standing up for themselves because a bunch of black people were on their front lawn threatening them and whatnot.

 

Fear. An indifference in society, which we can't acknowledge.
Tedium convolutes into fear, fear then turns into prejudice, and then discrimination.

 

I agree, it just angered me that they are calling it a racial hate crime, when it was something that shouldn't have even led to anything.

 

In my opinion, I think there is a difference between Blacks and "niggers". I could care less like your skin is black, I have plenty of black friends. But the only thing I hate is that a lot of black people that talk like they are gangster, wear there pants so their ass is hanging out, think they're tough. That is what I think, even though it may sound harsh.

 

that just says that the world is against whites and we take it out on the blacks
