Honestly, there are like 50y old women going around with skillcapes and wizard clothes and TONS of geeks with paper phats.

Do I have a wrong definition of 'fun' or was runefest really THE BEST PARTY EVAH (according to the rs fora)

You all talk about those that attended the festival as if you're somehow above them in the world. It only shows your own insecurities, to be actually making snarly remarks about other runescape players on a forum devoted to runescape.

They all had a lot of fun im sure, i would go if the trip down wouldn't cost me a potential three thousand dollars. My girlfriend even suggested going with me, to be in an inclusive, new environment. I would rather be around free-spirited 50 year old woman then fifteen year old kids who revolve around vanity.

i went and i met a woman in her 30s tht plays runescape and came to find out both of us had hotel rooms in the same floor just on diff wings so we stayed up most of the night drinking and shooting the bull about irl shit

 

Hahaha. Did this all take place at the 'Poison Arrow' pub or whatever they titled it? Sounds like fun- i bet there were quite a few disgruntled people out there having a mid-life crisis. Stress builds character.

Honestly, I'm just saying what I've seen and it surprised me.
If people had fun there, fine. If you'd have fun there, fine.
I just never expected to see people who are 40+ at runefest, and it surprises me A LOT.
If i would find my mother walking around in game-based clothes i would be shocked, just because I'm prolly not open-minded enough .
I'm 19 and i feel like I'm getting to old for runescape (even though i rarely play) already ^^

I believe that anyone who takes time to actually point out this guys subjective flaws should provide the community with a photo of themselves- proving that they are not just self-proclaimed but evidently 'better' than those in the photos with telmomarques.
