How long do you think Sythe.org will last?

Just wondering how long you guys think sythe.org will stick around. Please feel free to discuss below!

 

This has been discussed so many times... As long as Runescape is alive, I'm sure Sythe.org will, too. Or untill Sythe himself, just doesn't want to carry on the site, and someone else purchases it.

 

10+ years or until Sythe stops the site.

Well it's already been going for 5 years so anything under that is already ruled out. Madhacker said it perfectly. As long as RuneScape is still going, Sythe will continue.

 

I'm saying how much longer it will go on for, not how long it has been going. Just because it has been up and going for 5 years dosen't mean it will go another 5. Also I could see sythe.org somehow become extremely inactive, and sythe just close/shut down the site.

 

It will be alive long after rs dies because of the off topic section for example.

 

Until Runescape dies off, which will probably in many years, Sythe will not end. It'll only come to an end if Sythe decides to stop running this site or sells it to someone else. I honestly hope that last sentence doesn't come true.

 

Its glory days are long passed now, and unless something happens to get us back to those again it won't last for a long time. Honestly.

 

As long Sythe makes money out of it.

 

3-4 years, when runescape does a huge update which doesnt allow the sales of GP, Accounts, and stuff like that somehow.

As long as runescape is around, there will be runescape cheating.

 

3-4 Years, we aint really seeing any new donations, or i aint, well idk if people donate much or dont.

 

Even if runescape does come to an end. I doubt sythe would just stop. It'll still be a community and still be active. I voted 10+.

 

For just about as long as the market is alive. I don't think sythe is dependent on runescape any more.

I voted 4-5 years. I really don't think Jagex can ruin the game to the point where exploiting is impossible and that nobody even wants to play because ultimately... they're just hurting themselves.

 

I think if runescape Died The community Would still stay up but just more to mechscape or something along them lines .

 

I think sythe will last as long as Runescape does. You should add that to the poll.

 

I think this is really if Sythe himself is up to keeping the site running as the owner. The community, while it is changing, will always be active. There will always be suitable candidates for admins and mods. However, the real question is whether Sythe himself stays dedicated to the site. Otherwise, the community will probably move to another site run by another member.

It also depends on the legal issues. For example, markeedragon and other WoW trading sites have been attacked by Blizzard. If Sythe becomes the leading trading site for a future game and receives the same punishment, the site will be harder to maintain.
