Listen to Aussie hip hop and won't get that problem

 

I get ANGRY when people say rap is only about cursing and singing about nonsense. How can you assholes be so naive? I don't hate a single music genre except for techno maybe. But listen people... every single music genre has something good about it. I ONLY listen to rap and hip hop but I still like a few rock songs, pop songs and whatever. I agree that some rap songs are just complete bullshit, but you must know the difference between today's rap and oldschool rap. The only thing people rap about these days are hoes, money, bitches and how they kill people. That's not rap! That's some faggot ass Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, T-Pain or Drake who THINK they know how to rap but they can't. Their lyrics are really bad and they have no flow and terrible beats. If you have only listened to modern rap then OF COURSE you will think rap sucks. The truth is... oldschool rap are the most influental and the most great songs ever made.

You need to look into the older rap songs which had a meaning and with great rhymes, lyrics, voice, story and the beats. If you would like to listen to some rap songs I suggest you to start off with some 2Pac songs or Nas songs. Check out the songs "Brenda's Got a Baby" by 2Pac. You NEED to listen to the song, not just skim through it. Open up Google and search for "Brenda's Got a Baby lyrics" and read the lyrics while 2Pac sings. Even if you don't like 2Pac and his voice you can't deny the fact that he tells a GREAT story about a 12 year old girl who had a baby and ended up selling crack and getting killed while selling sex. It's a true story. I didn't like 2Pac a few years ago but then I really LISTENED to his songs and I realized something. This was a rapper who didn't brag about selling drugs or talking about money all the time. He really had stories to tell us. His song Changes is the most influential song of all time according to my opinion and it literally changed people's lives. He's talking about how we should start making changes, to stop racism and they way we treat each other.

You should also check out Biggie Smalls. Almost every single song he made was freestyled. He didn't write lyrics or anything, he just came up with the lyrics in his head and made insane rhymes. You need to LISTEN to the rap songs. Listen to the flow, the beats, the rhymes, the stories and the tone of their voice. Always have the lyrics up. Please don't hate rap songs. You are free to hate rap songs made today but oldschool rap is one of the best music genres ever. If you are going to hate a music style you should expand your knowledge a bit before criticizing it. Oldschool rap is not about cursing, fucking, robbing, getting money, selling drugs. They actually had something to rap about and they have changed millions of peoples' lives.

I love both. Listening to rock vs rap volume 2 atm. 75 minutes of the mixed ftw.

 

Music is music as long as it has a good beat or great vocals it's just plain amazing.

However, most of my cds I have are metal/screamo. I love it the most!

 

As long as they're produced correctly in a musical manner, both.

I like both, but I like way more musics from Rock than rap,

I like Eminem, nas when it comes to rap, Imo they're the only artists that shows emotion in their songs.

 

I listen to both about 50/50 but im going too put my vote on rock because i play guitar xD, but none the less they are both great genres and i can happily listen to either. Personally though i would say i listen to a lot more Dubstep, Hardstyle and Drum and Bass.
