Yes but the point is he should fully trust you, not the stability of your msn because as you've seen in the past month or so no one's MSN is 100% stable. Hackers seem to be getting on MSN's a lot. This is just a 15 second process which could save you a lot of money at some point.

Also, and I think someone else was getting at this, but it could create a potential situation where a (supposedly) trusted member could send 10 messages over MSN to people asking to do a trade, anyone that asks for a PM he'd just make an excuse (Sythe isn't working for me) or just leave, anyone who doesn't happen to ask for a PM (and I wouldn't be surprised if 1 in 10 or even more wouldn't, especially with newbie members) he could scam and have no chance of them having a valid report.

Yea I do support this. Plus theres a lot of people that dont copy and paste the other peoples MSN name in there. Like I got scammed by viper a long time ago, the real viper has a 0 where an O was and I fell into it and got hacked. A PM is very important. But the truth is...how can you make it a requirement really.

I support this. It doesn't take long to PM someone and to make sure that it's actually them. This sort of thing can prevent people from losing money and being scammed.

How about this idea, with amending?

For example - when you're trading, make it a requirement to say:

"I am trading my ____ for your ___, correct? Your MSN is ______ and I am speaking to you right now. If you scam, you will be punished accordingly."

As well as that, you can copy and paste part of the convo for even more proof that they're actually the person that they claim to be.

This is in fact a great idea to stop the scamming. You have my support :) I hope to see this rule implanted soon.

100% support from me. If a user doesn't ask for a PM, it shows how stupid they are. Always ask for a PM, that way the "I was hacked" routine doesn't work.

So if a user is too stupid to ask for a PM then the person who scammed them shouldn't get into trouble if they weren't hacked?

Wasn't this already implemented? If they don't get a PM you only have to pay half? Which i think is pretty fair.

I'm not sure but I'm saying no pm=no compensation because MSN's are so often being hacked.

Oh, i can see where your coming from but it is unrealistic to wave all responsibility for an msn, when you think about it half is pretty fair. On the other hand i think it should be 0 if you alert the site and let them know you are hacked and there is an announcement/it's in your sig before anyone is scammed

Your sythe account is the most secure thing you own (To verify your sythe identity) so why not use that?

Because if msn is associated with your sythe account, then you should still be held responsible to some extent for people getting scammed on your msn

Obviously i do, but that doesn't make you un-responsible for them. When you post that it is your msn on sythe it becomes attached to your account therefore making you liable for it. If you really do not want the risk make sure your msn is private
