When would jagex IP ban?

The only way I have ever heard of an I.P. ban from Jagex is if your involved with a RWT company.

And thats if they can even find out.

 

That would be illegal in a lot of countries to ban people like that. Say for whatever reason someone posts their IP on an ebay runescape account sale, well who knows what if their little brother just paid $40 for a year membership?

 

There are no internet laws on banning I.P.'s.

Nobody cares who paid what for what if someone does something stupid like that. Also RS sales are prohibited on eBay.

 

IN AUSTRALIA there's some law that's basically "if you buy a game no more restrictions can be applied than it came with" and buying membership is basically buying a game. This is why people sue VALVe for VAC bans and stuff.. (yeah it's happened)



On another note I'm using TnT Ess miner and I was surprised how fast and well it finished 2 randoms within 10 minutes of me starting mining.
Another note, I'm pissed because I tried to update it and it fucked itself up.

 

Jagex only do IP bans, for massive bug abuse such as "Siinep" said for things like falador massacre, and etc.

 

It seems they only IP ban in extreme cases. Generic botting will get your accounts banned, but not your IP. They probably still want to make money off of the new accounts you make.

 

Honesty they cant ever I dont think. Say you have 2 people that play in your house, one always cheats and one plays legit, they cant ban a 100% legit person.

 

It's their game, their rules, they could ban you for whatever they feel like.

 

On Rsbots.net the User 'Defil3d' RAT'd 2,000 Runescape players for their accounts and got IP banned.

 

would be to many law suits on them if they banned a 100% innocent player who did nothing at all wrong.

 

They wouldn't get sued by a bunch of 9 year olds that run to their room and cry over pixels.

From what I have heard, Jagex doesn't IP ban, in the event that they do, it wouldn't matter because you can change your IP.

 

You get perm banned again for botting. No more 14/21 day bans. My friend got perm banned right away on his account, and he's never botted in his life. Doesn't even know how to get a bot.

 

I've been botting for 4 hours on my nub account and my mining level went from 1-30 in that time already but I haven't been banned or warned or anything. I'll release full stats when it gets to 96 hours because I don't want to get excited early and tell everyone which scripts are undetectable.

 

I believe it was Cursed You & Durial321, the guy that got 99 con first invited people into his house and kicked them all out and somehow Durial found a glitch with the combat ring and he could attack people.

Was very entertaining as I was in fally when he was killing everyone >_<

I've never seen someone that bot get Ip banned.
I think it's only people that find a huge bug and really abuse it..it might get you Ip banned.

 

Seems like Jagex only ban an IP in serious cases, shame that a IP ban is useless. I'd assume they would do a MAC Address ban or HDD Serial ban.
Or in serious cases highly assume and full computer hardware ban.
