When would jagex IP ban?

This isn't technically cheating because you don't have to cheat to be banned(if you're confused I'm talking about categories). Anyway, what would someone have to do to piss jagex off so far that they get an IP ban? I was just wondering because I made a new account ~5 hours ago and set a chicken autoer to kill chickens and it's already at 15. Most of the people that get banned usually say it happens with a total shit bot within minutes of starting, since that hasn't happened I'd say the script is OK.


So would jagex ever IP ban for something like this? I'm using XChickenSlaughter if you're wondering. Haven't heard good or bad but it works freakin great.:love: I would never use my main unless I test one script for at least 2 weeks without even a warning on my RS account.

 

Jagex will rarely ever ever ban yoour IP for using a bot. You're safe.

 

Thanks now I feel safe <3 is it mainly like they see "wtf this person has had 20 accounts on this IP and they've all been banned for advertising/botting"?

 

Not even then I think. The guy who duped phats in classic got IP banned though. ;D

 

Hmmm I wonder how long before jagex updates and there's another form of a duplicate glitch that appears. Did that "run then type regedit" thing ever actually work or did some 9-year-old make that up so he could laugh at all the idiots running around spamming regedit in chat?

 

JaGex hardly ever IP bans. JaGex is a company, and what is point of ever company? To make a profit.

JaGex doesn't IP ban because it would hurt there profits, although it would prevent people from botting.

But yeah, I have never heard of someone getting IP banned for botting.

I remember seeing a group of 10+ people running by all typing that as fast as they could last year I just got up, sat on my bed then laughed for 10 minutes. Then I went back to play.

 

Never seen anyone get an IP ban.

 

Still you'll get ip ban you can always use proxys.

 

Jagex almost doesn't ip ban. only if something terrible happens or something

 

Cheaters buy membership...so jagex makes more money.

A real life friend of mine got an IP ban for account hijacking, back the old days when phishing was done by any random. Lucky thing for him, Jagex wasn't able to seperate his accounts from the ones he phished, so he 'only' got an IP ban. He changed providers and started playing again with a loaded main and some loaded mule accounts.

Also, I've seen some cases in which massive macroing got IP banned, but I'm not entirely sure if Jagex still has to deal with these massive amounts of botters.



Luckily enough those times are over and it's more to "secure" botting.

 

The only IP ban that I can think of ATM that I think did happen was the falador masacre, I forget what the name of the player was.. But I'm sure all those who know what I'm talking about would agree that's ip ban worthy.

Your case however is not even close to bad enough for an ip ban

Actually he didn't find a glitch, when the guy who hosted the first 99 construction party evicted everyone (there was a massive amount of people) Durial simply got the attack option and as a pker he decided to use it, and he confirmed that he only managed to loot one purple (I think it was purple) party hat due to the fact that all the players following him could see the drop at the same time as Durial.

 

So how likely is it to get banned if I use like EpicWoodcutter(or WCPro2 if you recommend) on willows in the middle of nowhere where nobody ever is to report me? And if I DO get banned how likely is it that if I put in a "my account was stolen" from a proxy or friends' house or something I get an unban? If it's less than 80% I'm not doing it.

 

Eventually you will gt banned with the free scripts you're using. And any macroing ban is basically a permanent ban now. No matter what you out in your appeal, it probably will not get you unbanned

 

you never get perm banned now for macroing.. jagex has changed it due to the mass of people which bot, over 80% of the rs population has botted before.

jagex does 14 day ban, then 21 day ban, and then perm ban (which is 1year then gets whiped now)

this update was quite recent, the only perm ban you get from macroing now is hunting so i suggest people stay away from the free hunter scripts.

 

man I didn't make a ton off the unicorn horn craze, used to be able you could sell a full invin of horns for ~70K+(max pp horn) now no one even buys them for their minimum price
