How do u get banned for RWT?

I've always wondered ^^
How can they know u RWTed?
I guess gold transfer is pretty obvious, but things like selling partyhats for rsgp+$$$, can they ever find out?

 

I'm not sure, but I've heard about them being familiar with certain "goldfarmer IP's".

 

If you transfer gold by using a glitch of some sort, then you will get a bug abuse ban (impossible to appeal).

But, it depends on the method.

 

Well maybe because noone would sell a phat for trade price when they can get more selling for max in ge or over double or triple its value using the street price.

 

Well, before the trade limits it was easier to tell if someone was selling gold.

People would trade millions for a few junk items.

 

Would be really stupid if you could get banned for trading a street valued item for just cash :O

 

Now jagex is not banning for a RWT, only for an account selling.

 

These days its hard to get caught for doing rwt i guess, but then there was no trade limit it was very easy. Now they can catch you by gold farmers IP's, and if you using glitches to transfer gold.+

 

How do u know that?
So even for transferring gold u cant get banned nowadays?

I'm not exactly sure. i'll try to find out. All I'm saying is that they still do RWT ban in rare cases.

 

I was banned awhile back for it. I'm pretty sure it has to do with IP adresses and possibly the rapid gain of gold.

 

Jagex will never find out about this. As for the actual transferring of gold from one account to another, you would only get banned if you're doing the labor-intensive RWT trading, such as picking whiteberries and trading to a different account. Jagex will pick that up, and they'll ban you for it. If you're RWTing using a method that isn't well-known, then you most likely won't get caught for it.

 

They have made methods like that not possible to be done.
If you traded over White Berries/Potato Cacti (or other items like that) recently and try to pick them up from the spawned places, it won't let you.

Anyhow, let me talk about the topic.
You CAN get banned for RWT if your account/IP is flagged.
They check your account for gain in gold that isn't humanly possible, etc.
However, there isn't really any way that they can find out about RSGP + $ for rares simply because friends who are quitting can sell the phat to a good friend for example.

 

they can find out if u selling ur account if u make a thread here and show ur username. i think thats a big one that gets people banned. im sure jagex goes to this site and others?

 

People who quit sometimes sell good friends of theirs their phats or other rares. I've seen it happen, just too bad I wasn't on the receiving end.

I don't think they can find out about the partyhat trades which consist of RSGP + RL money, unless you talk about it through runescape.
