In regards to: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=908429

    I suggest you censor "&#"

That way nobody will be able to blank post, post in all caps, post less than 5 characters, or get around the censor. I would HATE to forget about this rule, and get banned for something as minor as this.

Also, there really isn't any need to use "&#' in a post, so people wouldn't accidentally get censored.

The only place I've seen people blank post is in spam, and It's not hurting anyone there.

If someone does something that messes with how the posts work, that's bannable. Such as typing to blank post. Basically, this would prevent anyone from manipulating how the posts are displayed, and prevent unnecessary bans.

Sythe posted the rule in the spam forum. I don't think he gives a fuck where it is, it's still bannable. Besides, I've replied with less than 5 characters outside of the spam forum, and I'm sure other people have too.

    Ask Sythe, I don't know :/

The only time blank posting or responses with 5 or less characters are posted are in the Spam Forum. If you see any of these anywhere else, just report it. No need to move it.

You aren't getting the point. Spam forum or not, Sythe will still ban for it. Why else would it be in the spam forum? I just think it would help to avoid pointless bans.

Oh, I'm sorry. I misunderstood your point. I didn't realise that Sythe was banning for that. In that case, yes, I suggest you censor that.

    Sorry for that.

Sythe stated that he will ban for any abuse of site mechanics "Blank post, the infraction sigs, all caps etc"

People don't suggest things just because it affects them. They generally suggest things that involve the forum.

I agree with this suggestion, and would like to see it implemented. There is no way it could cause issues elsewhere as the '&#' is not used in anything but ASCII characters.

This would effectively destroy blank posting and filter evasion.
