First they lead you to a small room called a "donor room" or more fancifully a "masturbatorium." There is a sink for you to wash your hands and sometimes your penis.



Then you sit down with your cup. In a fancy donor room, there will be a cot in addition to a chair. Most sperm banks have visual aids to help you masturbate, but most doctor's offices do not.



When you are finished, you put your cup through a door in the wall. A lab tech retrieves it and processes it.

Use your judgment. You don't seem comfortable with showing him, but there are things that you could tell him short of giving him a demonstration that would help him out. That would be the best thing to do.
