[Urgent] Paypal question

ok so paypal emailed my dad saying they think he is using false information and he need to send drivers license and stuff. It said to do it like you email them when you ask a question. There is no upload a file or anything like that, so how does he upload his drivers license to them via their messaging system on the website.

Are you sure this was a legitimate email from Paypal?

The one time I've been asked for my license and personal information, they asked for scans and there was a clear area to provide them with the necessary information and images.

I've been asked by Host Gator to provide my information before, but it was via e-mail. I would make sure this is a legitimate e-mail, and if it is, you could simply upload the scanned image of the drivers license and necessary information to an image-hosting site and put the direct link in the message area.

 

Whats an image hosting site where you can keep the images private?

I would call Paypal to double check whether or not it's legitimate.

 

Definitely call them; there are websites out now where you can enter an e-mail address with any @NAMEHERE.COM and send people e-mails - this could be a scam.

If it does all check out, something as simple as photobucket would work, because you can set your albums as private.
