Problem with my ps3 (Help Needed)

So i play Mw2 on my ps3 like most games do,and when i go to connect to the internet to get onto my profile,it says it cannot obtain my IP?

Just wanted to know some things i could do to fix that >.<?

 

Resrat your Router? open Firewalls? NAT?

No, your ROUTER, not PS3, something wrong with your Wireless router i think, ps3 cant obtain the ip from it

 

Try unplug router, wait 10 secs, re plug it.

 

Do you use wireless internet for your PS3 or wired?

 

Well take the power cord out of your modem for 30 seconds and then plug it back in and try again, your modem should create another ip adress for your PS3 to find.

Also be sure to make sure ALL connections are tight. You would be surprised if you knew how many problems occurred here.

 

If it still doesn't work, unplug every wire going into your modem for atleast 3 minutes ( this includes the power cord ).

Also turn off your PS3, and reboot it after re-hooking back up to your modem.

 

if the unplugging doesnt work then you have to ask ur cable company to replace ur modem, my modem from time to time slows down or get a problem once replaced, the internet was back at blazing speeds. hope i helped
