Meaning of life.

I'm curious as to see what everyone's idea on this subject is.

Mine simply is, the meaning of life is to die. My reasoning for this would be because death is the only normality that we all commonly share.

We can't say the meaning of life is to be kind to your fellow man because for a portion of the human population that isn't the case, we can't say it is to enjoy life because for some people, life is nothing to enjoy and for others, their even willing to give theirs up. Almost anything in this world is completely different for each person so how can we say this is the meaning to life if not everyone agrees with that generalization.

While with death, it is inescapable,it is stable, it is and will always be. As humans our entire existence revolves around this whether or not we realize it, worrying about it, questioning it, fighting it, and submitting to it.

I believe it's up to you to give your life meaning.

 

The meaning of life is whatever you want it to be. Not everyone thinks the same way, for some people the meaning of life is to raise a healthy family and carry it on, for others, it is to simply survive, it varies.

 

You say the meaning of life is to die -- a very pessimistic and negative outlook on life. Why not say the meaning of life is to live? Do we not all share our common possession of life?

 

My personal, relative meaning of life is to be happy, have children, and try to positively affect the people around me; however, there is no absolute meaning of life in the religious sense. If you think in terms of a larger scale, life is essentially meaningless.

 

Not necessarily. Everyone eventually dies. Babies can be aborted, still born, and so on. So technically his definition of life is better.

Life is almost one of those, "It's what you make out of it scenario." It's the best option out there, unless someone can show me something else that does involve a super human ability (i.e. immortality - which has it's own drawbacks).

I think the meaning of Life is to Learn and to Adapt.

As soon as we are born, we learn how to survive, by breathing, throughout our whole lives we gain more and more knowledge.

 

Depends on your definition of 'life' .

The purpose of human life is to go with nature, and to naturally evolve. Our instinct tells us to eat, survive, and reproduce. That's what it is all about.

If you mean life in reference to the universe, then I doubt there is a meaning. We can't propose something when we can't calculate it in a controlled environment.

However, I will set forth the theory that the meaning of life, the universe, and everything is '42'.

 

It all comes down to if you feel that you've impacted the world positively and what you left in this world.

 

Mine would be to live comftable and survive .

I believe the meaning of life is to be apart of something bigger than yourself, to leave an imprint of your significance, to be rembered. Although you may disagree, just stop and think for a moment. Why do we have kids? We have them so apart of us will always be remembered, one way or another.

 

I have something similar in my mind, but the onliest factor which makes us same is death.

The meaning of life is to: Be Born, Live Life, Then Die. The rest is upto you.

My meaning of life I think is just to have fun

 

I think the meaning of life is to fuck as many girls as you can, and drink as much as you can....(lies ) Now really the meaning of life IMO is to make everything to be happy. Make life for you as you want it to be.

Umm, the meaning of life... craziest theory i've heard is what scientologists believe in.. anyways, I believe it is upon ourselves to decide.. i'm stil deciding..

For me, it's to create. I think you're supposed to make something new constantly, no matter what it is. For you, it could be something completely different or even opposite.
