im from NY too, and my story is similar to yours.

i started playing in 6th grade all the way through 8th, even tho everybody else quit in 6th grade, i still managed to get 90's-100's and spent atlest 3-5 hours on RS on weekdays

 

My story is almost exactly the same.

Quit for 2 years, got way better grades, now I'm bad, and doing miserable.

I'm going to quit before the school year starts again.

It's something you have to grow out of. Get an appetite for something else. Take some risks and go to parties/events and get used to that lifestyle. If you stay away long enough the hunger won't come back, it shouldn't come back. Rs is the biggest waste of time. What benefits or accomplishments do you get from it? None, only inside the game which helps you with nothing in reality. It's something that degrades you morally and socially. Keeping yourself inside for hours endlessly with only the thought of playing rs will completely fuck up your mindset. Stay away, don't become that dull, hopeless, self-conscious kid all because of a game. We live in NY baby, there's always something to do. Considering your in your sophomore year you're probably 15-16 and still have that childish love for it, but just keep away. Do socially active things, Rs doesn't help you in any way, even if you have friends on there they're not helping you in anyway as their just as fucked lol. Reality is where you should be consuming that beautiful time.

 

Do what I did and sell all your accounts. You will lose the will to play after that. There is no point whining about the past, thinking about what could've happened. Find some other games you like (not MMOs).

 

First off, don't blame RS. You were the one that got addicted to it. It's not like Jagex pointed a gun to your head.
Anyway, why not join clubs or something to preoccupy yourself after school? That way you'll only have time for homework and eating.
Also, if you aren't too attached, try selling your account here on Sythe. If you get scammed, that's more of a reason not to play RS again. Hopefully you won't become so addicted that you have to steal accounts from others.
You can also do other things instead of RS. Work out if you have an urge to play rs.

LOL what you guys dont get is that you think you were the "only" one that kept playing, its like this with every MMO, what happens is no one has the balls to say yea i play "runescape" or "WoW" or others so what they do is boycott it and make fun of it when really half of them most, likely play the game its sad.

Plus dude you dont need to quit rs if you can limit yourself to say 1 hour a day, might seem hard but just make it a routine and itll settle in.

I grew out of runescape, just lost the will to play. You too may grow out of it. If not try selling your account.

You should sell all your accounts on the blackmarket, maybe have enough to get an xbox or ps3?

Sorry man, I'm pretty much in the same situation. Runescape has taken so many precious hours of my life away.

 

i Started Rs in the 5th grade.
Everyone quit in 6th. i still play and im in 9th.
My first account was a lvl 13 with full black (GHETTO)
then as i googled "how to get high level runescape accounts"
i found out about keyloggers,Phishing,Scamming,Hacking.
and i proceded to get a lvl 97 with the "im a mod" scamm
with around 46m and a santa, my friends were pissed and thats why they all quit. They dont know i play today,But im still that first born hacker in roanoke virginia, Today: i dont hack or scammm,BUT I BOT!

 

The way how I quit was because of my brother. He basically used the computer for something for six months, and didn't want my stuff with his stuff, so I was on my PlayStation 3 the whole time, and just didn't play, but I thought a lot about it, but when I tried to get back into it, I just couldn't. Now I play other games.

Yeah I started playing in 7th grade and on through the end of freshmen year.

Once Sophmore year hit, though, I hung out with friends instead of being a zombie at home. I would leave to their houses straight after school and not come home until late midnight - Which is when I'd go to sleep. On the weekends, you wouldn't even find me at my house.

Nowadays, I legally don't have the option to leave so I'm usually stuck at my house. The craving to play, though, is no longer there so I browse forums and different shit.

 

Sell your account(s). You won't be able to play anymore. If the idea off starting again occurs, just say no.

 

As long as you have breath.. You still have a chance to succeed. Nothing can stop you but yourself and death.

And also remember that... You do not need college to succeed. But it's never too late. Keep pushing yourself. You'll find a way somehow.

I started playing in 6th grade as well (going in my Junior year in HS).
I did horrible my 7th grade year, but I am now in a Magnet school.

Just cut down your hours or quit for good & have some hope...
