Take off 5 character limit

To be honest I don't see much points in having the 5 character limit when posting. It doesn't really prevent spam or anything. I see no point in having it.

 

What decent post could someone make in less than 5 words?

 

I agree with this. Bump is only four words but its not that hard to put an exclamation point behind it lol.

 

I don't think the quality of a post should be based on how long it is.

 

Then get prepared to see pages of the letter A replaced for bumps.

 

I don't see any harm in that. It will still be the same towards post count, and you can do it quicker.

Bumping post are supposed to be deleted? I've never heard that. How else are other people supposed to see your thread after it goes through the pages of threads.

Not really. If someone want's to post yes or no they can easily just say "yes.." "no..." or something along those lines. Nothing is really prevented with the limit

 

Make the title catchy.

It's just going to create more spamming in the end.

 

There's no reason to have it really, nor is there a reason to remove it - things will be exactly the same.

Changing it will only take extra time, and it won't really make a difference, so I see no point.

 

Spammers will spam anyways whether they have to post 5 character or 6 characters.

 

Exactly so they'll just spam more easily and quicker.
