So I'm trading with this someone right now, heres the story. He sent me the money, and I got it. But then he claimed it. After that it got set to "Held" and now its stuck there. He says he tried to cancel it, but the money is still in hold. I appreciate the help, thanks. He went first, so the idea of it being a scam is really unlikely since he doesnt have the info yet.

Edit: He used the unauthorized transaction method.

    Hey old buddy ^_^

OP: Well, can you check the "Resolution Center" to see if there is an open PayPal claim open? If there is, tell him to cancel it through the claim. If there's not, it's likely he/she used a stolen PayPay and the original holder has filed an unauthorized transaction. Another possiblity is that he/she went into negative credit, in which most, if not all, of the money he/she sent out is being held so he'd pay off his negative balance. Check with him and respond back.

    Alright, thanks man.

He says "It still says open, but if I try to cancel it says 'This action is not available' "

Well, I'd recommend you call up PayPal and have a customer representative help you out. That's awfully strange. =|

Don't worry, worst case scenario - you get the money back, re-send it to him.

this happened to me but I think your situation is different. It says waiting for other partys response, so tell him to respond to it, if he wins the claim he can just send you the $6 again.
