The website is Sythe's property, all data on the website (that is stored on the website) belongs to him.

 

I didn't know that, makes more sense now.

The intellectual property is his, however; the internet (domain) which it is hosted on is public property. Hence why, "nothing on the internet is safe," it's a loophole.
