Verified Sections (Reduce scammers)

I think this would be a great idea, to reduce the overall amount of scams which happen. I'm new to Sythe, but i've been on other blackmarket sites for long periods of time.

I think by having a 'Verified Section' for each section in the market would reduce scamming alot.

Following from Video's thread, he is correct in that 'new members to the market' look for cheap prices, and have no idea in which people will scam them and who won't.

Some 'new people' do not know what vouches are, what's the difference between a OMM status, and no status, and so on, therefore they buy from anyone, and in some occasions get scammed.

By making a sub-forum 'Verified Gold sales' for the gold section, verified pin sellers' etc.

The new members would know the difference between a verified section, and a regular section, and also a sticky or two to explain the differences would be helpful.

Obviously steps would be required to meet the verified section, for example, gold sales:

- 15+ vouches from selling gold
- verified the xfer method/bulk gold you have

and so on, but the verification process is for mods/admins to decide

This would also take A LOT of work.

 

It's not bad, but what I've noticed from the verified guide sales section is that most people just go to the main unverified guides anyway. It's pretty clear who the trusted gold sellers are, but one problem with making gold sellers pass a verification process is that they won't get vouches for selling gold if they aren't verified, so they won't ever be verified. Also, there's the problem of leaking rwt methods, even to mods/admins. It's gonna be a lot of work on the part of mods to approve threads each time someone wants to post in the verified section.

Although, I have seen plenty of scams from people selling gold who clearly have no method, I think there are better ways to prevent these scams

 

In the sticky, explain what a verified seller is.

It can explain that seller has passed the verification process, which is : ...... whatever it is, then the buyer can decide if he's trusted enough.

Yes , it is obvious who is the trusted gold sellers. R2pleasent is charging $2.5/M.

If a scammer starts selling $0.8/M or something, the new members get hooked onto this seller because of the cheap price. But they do not know if he's trusted, they just hand over the money first. If they see that he is not in the verified section, they will be a bit wary.

I don't think it's alot of work at all if i'm honest,

A verification process can be simple, and all the gold seller would need to supply is proof of 20 vouches from selling gold, then the mod can move their thread, and possibly show the gold ingame, that is not much time.

There's not many completely legit sellers, so once most of them are moved, and there's not excactly going to be 10's of new legit sellers coming to sythe everyday

 

Problem is, not many people read the stickies, otherwise they'ed always request a pm and then there wouldn't be a need for this.

 

I think to even new members...the difference between verified, and normal seciton is pretty clear anyway.

 

Requesting a PM doesn't do shit, if they're a scammer they'll still PM you.

well what about verified guide sales they can still scam even though it is verified.
