Aimee isn't stupid mate, she knows my life is far from perfect.. If I did that she would just think that one of my mates did it to cheer me up or something.

Yes, I do. We've been together for 3 years without problems. We're both ready to be together for a long time more.

Anyways, what I'm trying to say is if it's not amazing, it's not worth it. This pain you're going through is only putting stress on you. She is obviously no mature enough to handle a relationship and neither are you. Break it off and enjoy being single.

 

Alright, this is gonna be a dick move on your part but it's part of the cycle.
Like I said make your life perfect, make peace with your parents and get good with them.
If you have any guy friends go chill with them for a while, whenever I'm down then I go hang with my friends I'm right back up and it's great.
The dick part: Find another girl, go with it for about a month, going to the mall, beach, movies, etc. Make her your bitch, have fun with her do stuff with her. (Using her to make Aimee jealous)
Make Aimee know she isn't the only girl you want to get (even though obviously she is).
Also, what I did when me and my first love stopped talking, I just blocked her status from my news feed but still had her added, trust me it helps a great deal.

Edit - Or like Skill said, be single just hit on like 30 girls, have fun bro. You're only young once, might as well live it up and flirt with as many girls as ya want.

 

Remove Aimee from your phone, facebook, etc etc.

Don't make yourself look like a bad guy. Don't tell her off, don't do anything. If you disconnect from her, eventually you won't need her anymore.
