3 Tips to Successful Account Trading and avoiding 99% of Scammers

In my first and only account trade, I successfully sold my account for $100 paypal. In this guide I will tell you how to do the same:

Edit: If you are new to sythe, I recommend you not trade on this site. I was very careful on my first trade, but got scammed anyways simply because it does take a bit of experience to learn the rules of the game. So many people get scammed on their first trade, it's not funny or worth it.

    Tip #1 - Checking History
Before you do anything, check the person's post history. This means to go to their profile and check their started threads AND all of their posts. Doing this will tell if the person is a scammer. HOWEVER, it will NOT guarantee that the person is NOT a scammer.

Indications that they are a scammer:
-They have a history of scam reports and/or people calling them scammers. In addition to checking their profile, search their name up on sythe to see if anyone has filed a scam report on them.

-They flame and/or rage a lot. Posts such as "Lmao u suck," "lol get a life," "like i care noob gf," MEANS THAT THERE IS A 90-100% CHANCE THEY ARE A SCAMMER. Trust me, I've detected 20-30 scammers, and all of the people who do this tried to scam me.

-They misspell a lot of words and/or type like an immature kid. 90% of kids who offer to pay with their own paypal will scam you, guaranteed. If they use their parent's paypal, offer to talk to their parents. This is because they're not old enough to verify their paypal with a credit card or bank. And who in the world can get $80-100 through a non-verified paypal account? 1 in a thousand, I'd say. The other 10% of kids will use their parent's paypal account, but I've never come across one. If you want to trade with these type of people, offer to call their parents.

-Any other indications that they're a kid, for reasons above.

Tip #2 - Read Every word of this Guide

    http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=492457

I read this guide, but if I would have read it more carefully, I would have saved myself a ton of trouble and time. This means to always ask them to send a PM to you. In addition, always use a MM/OMM regardless of how trusted they are or not.

Tip #3 - Expect Something to Go Wrong after the Trade

There's a high chance that something will go wrong after an account trade, and the 3 most popular are this:

-They recover the account back (this is why you ask an OMM to recover it before the trade w/ owner details and never buy accounts with recoveries set)
-They chargeback their payment (paying with gift doesn't help; they can still chargeback).
-Jagex locks the account due to suspicious ip switching and account actions, thus causing a lot of trouble

    How do you avoid this?
    1. If you want to avoid chargebacks, buy Vulge's Chargeback guide. I bought this and personally it helped me a lot. Jagex locked my account after the trade, and the guide saved me a ton of worries and guaranteed that I would not lose my money. However, it doesn't work if you intend to scam.

    2. Exchange personal contact info, and offer to talk to their parents. If you can reach their parents your chances of a successful trade goes up to almost 100%.

    Hope you enjoyed! Now rate/hate/masturbate.

I managed to get $250+ with unverified paypal, doing menial tasks on Sythe.

    Pro, amirite?

Also, nice guide - basically contains the steps I take when I'm not going first or if I have a fishy feeling about the trader. Has worked for me so far.

3 Tips to Successful Account Trading and avoiding 99% of Scammers

"Expecting the trade to go wrong" is not a way to avoid 99% of scammers, that could probably be reworded, and you shouldn't say that it only applies to account trades. Any trade has a chargeback risk.

"Always use a mm, no matter how trusted the person is" isn't really the best way of putting it. In my mind, mm's should be used if there is suspicion or doubt, or if one or both of the traders is new and has little/no rep. There's no reason to use an mm if you're buying a pin from a mod.

Recommending new traders to avoid this site altogether is really just bad advice. Recommending new traders to use an mm however, or to get a feel for the system before they jump into trading, is much better advice. Without new members, the site would never grow. Remember, you yourself were a new member at one point, and I was too.

In my mind, advertising another member's paid guide within a free guide isn't professional at all. Simply stating that "members on this site sell methods to avoid chargebacks" is good enough. "If you want to avoid chargebacks, buy Vulge's Chargeback guide." is just a sales pitch and doesn't belong in a free guide on how to avoid scamming.

That being said, the advice about checking past post history is completely accurate-I do this myself, not to check for scammers, but just to gauge a person's maturity

3 Tips to Successful Account Trading and avoiding 99% of Scammers

    @video

Thanks for your post, but first we must acknowledge that this is account trading, not general trading on sythe. Many transactions such as pin trading and the sort don't end up as a scam, but this is not true about account trading.

I implied the "avoid" advice to give extra caution to buyers here. Obviously, if someone has the determination to buy something and is told that they should avoid it, they will still go for it. The purpose in saying this is to use psychology to let people reconsider their purpose and be a lot more careful.

I can ensure that I'm not affiliated with vulge in any way. I just bought his guide and it saved me a lot of trouble from a scam. Thus, I thought that it would be great that I would pass this on to other serious traders.
