Xbox Related Sales Mod!

I'm not 100% sure if this would fall under the "More Moderators" in the do not suggest list, if it does, just close this immediately.

What I'm suggesting is a mod for the Xbox related sales. As far as I've seen, most mods don't know anything about Xbox, correct me if I am wrong.

I think there should be a trusted user who is active in the Xbox related sales promoted to mod for JUST that section.

A couple examples for this position would be Feren Silver or Djweasel.

Both of these users are very active in the Xbox related sales and I think would be a good addition to the staff.

Although not much happens in that forum, it would be nice to have a mod who knows what he is doing when something happens!

Its general market. We have market mods

 

I mean, its not a huge deal, but the thread needs to be watched by someone who knows what they're doing and can pick out anything related to Xbox that is fake, a well Xbox educated mod to be more accurate.

It'll probably come back as a no, but oh well. Worth a shot.

But we don't have anybody that is very well educated in the xbox section. I know a few of them may play xbox, but when it comes to modded lobbies, halo, etc, some of the mods don't know left from right when it comes to that.

 

Disagree. Then we should have a ps3 mod. A steam mod. A non virtual trades mod. It would just bring up the same topic again and again. Also it's not like mods need that much knowledge about xbox's themselves...not like they oversee trades. Thats what middle men are for.

 

Technically we do need a mod for all these other consoles/games, basically because its nice to have a mod that knows what he's talking about.

But, whatever. Doesnt matter if it happens or not I suppose, but its not like theres a lack of trusted users with knowledge in the section, Feren Silver, for example.

 

It's been suggested but it's been cracked down to it being too specific of a section to dedicated a mod to. The idea was to have an 'Other Sales' mod, but it's not very likely that anyone would have a solid background in everything presented in the section.

 

Why? I don't understand where mods come in during trades? Mods involvements in trades are the following:

MM's are the ones who actually need to know whats going on in the trade.

 

There's not too many problems going on in that section, and we pretty much have 6 moderators with Market permissions. Since it's not as active as the other sections, it doesn't need a moderator. I guess if someone finds something wrong with it, they can PM a Market mod.

 

Heres the deal. I have proven I was set up with fake screenies before in scam reports. Skele was the one to look at both, now I tried explaining to him about XBL accounts and how if you recover the account it'd say last online when it wasn't online for about 10 days. Now.....I explain that to skele and he had to bring in another mod to make sure I'm not lying. We mave 1 mod that can understand it all.

 

I support this. We need a staff member knowledgeable in these trades.

Support. Very little of the market mods probably understand anything about what people are selling, considering very few mods post there.

 

Exactly, he brought in another mod to settle it. So theres already a mod that knows. So whats the point in making one strictly for XBL since there is already one that knows about it? Would having an XBL mod stop skele from getting a second opinion from another mod? No.

This would then bring up the arguments of a steam mod. None of the current market mods in my opinion know a lot about steam. Same goes for OMM's and MM's. The main MM's that mm steam trades are me and xel if I'm correct.

 

If there was someone who knew a lot about both xbox and steam trading, they would be fit for the position.
