Bonus XP Weekend Announced

Note: reading from Rs Wiki it appears that goldsmithing gaunts and barbarian fishing does not give any bonus xp.

Please can somebody tell me how much it will cost from 77 mage to 99 mage with this bonus? doing alching! i would really like to know PM me please

 

Well, your average xp boost over the first 7 hours is 1.59x.
So, assuming you can do 1.1k alchs per hour, gaining 71,500 xp/hr, with this modifier, you would gain 113.6k magic xp/hr over the first 7 hours.

After this, your xp modifier would only be 1.1x, meaning you would gain 78,650 xp/hr.

So basically, it'd be nigh on impossible to get 99 magic while alching alone.
You could do it with stunalch, but I bet souls are bought out.

Is it across all skills? (i know sum & pray are nerfed)
Is it ftp aswell?

1: Yes. Except for barb fishing and goldsmithing gaunts, all conventional training methods will still work.
Xp boosters (sc, penance horn, brawlers etc), though, will no longer work during the weekend though.
2. I do not think f2p can participate.

 

This event was members only, but members were able to participate on free-to-play worlds. So yeah no f2p.

Only the dumb ones.

With Summoning being nerfed this time around, herblore is gonna be bought out big time.
If you want to invest, do so in herbs or secondaries.

 

Just watch the economic rollercoaster in the next 2 weeks.

 

I would suggest NOT to use bots during this time period.. Everyone knows they're going to watch VERY closely to anyones activity because everyone will be xp hungry.

Why did they have to nerf prayer and summoning? Well I guess I will just do magic or some stupid skill like that.

 

I luckily managed to stumble across the announcement in the forums only minutes after it was posted, I then immediately set out to buy the stuff I needed and now i'm fully stocked up.
