Help with PayPal.

If I change my PayPal account from the United States account it is currently in to a Canadian PayPal account, will it take away all the limits on the account? I currently have $20 USD on the account and I don't want to lose that. Don't tell me to verify it, because that is just a really big pain, but if I have to create a new Canadian account, I'm fine with that to.

 

If you're talking about making a Canadian Paypal, then yes, you have a $3,000 USD sending limit. If you choose to keep your US Paypal unverified, then you cannot send money.

 

I already knew that, but I wanted to change my current PayPal account to a Canadian account and not find any problems with being unverified with sending limits. Is that possible or do I have to create a new account?

You have to realize that it is, in theory, fraud (that is, if you are making a PayPal account with a country outside of your real one). Be careful and close your other PayPal before opening a new one or you will be limited (meaning no sending or receiving money until you submit the information they ask).

 

Well, if I purchase a greendot moneypak, what is my sending limit? Because I don't want to link by bank account.

I just read the Green Dot site and you have to be 18 or older. Do I have to enter a social security number or anything when I register the card? I said I was 18 when I signed up for PayPal, but thats about it.

Just buy a prepaid visa gift card from your local Walgreens.

no. just put same info as paypal

 

for greendot credit cards, the government automated system will call you requesting tons of information including ssn, its just as a pain as the other verifying options. Your best chance is to buy a visa gift card and get it verified that way.
