    Interesting Problem.

Well, this is a semi-PayPal problem so I'd rather just make a new thread.

    The situation:

Someone has my money in their PayPal (because mine are all limited). I've collected $300 and want to buy a new 360 off eBay (or somewhere similar), but this is where the problem occurs.

I am going to college and need it shipped to my P.O. Box at college. However, the Xbox would be shipped to his address and even if he added a P.O. Box it would be under his name. My school has a pretty strict package pickup rule too.

The best solution we've come to is having me create one (with a VCC) and sending the money over. But, sending $300 on a relatively new PayPal is suspicious and I really don't want to get limited with $300.

    Solutions?

On ebay can't you have a different buyer name and address? Also if that doesn't work can't you change the info on his paypal to yours for the trasnaction atleast?

As far as I remember you can only change the first name on PayPal, but I may be mistaken?

Why dont you simply PM the seller and explain the scenario (that you are using a friends paypal)?

I highly doubt that they'll send a $300 item to a different address than one listed, but I can always try I suppose.

I'm fairly sure that PayPal just provides the address (the one attached to the account).

If they ship it to a different address, they may be liable if the buyer claims he never received it.

That's the basic problem. I really doubt anyone would do something that risking with something of that value.

How is receiving 300$ in a new Paypal suspicious? My first transaction was for 1200$.

    Interesting Problem.

I won't get limited for creating a PayPal and getting $300, even though I have about 15 limited ones?

Having 15 limited ones is your problem, not that your account is getting 300$.

The thing is I wouldn't be able to unlimit it if it got limited. I already have my real CC and Bank Account linked to limited ones.

Do you owe money on them or have they been limited for suspicious activity.

No. It's just that I had account when I was like 15. I've lost like $300 to PayPal due to their new policy where they take all your money if you get limited.

He can add a "gift address" with your name and college p.o box under his paypal. It will have this message next to your address "You've indicated that deliveries can be sent to this address."

    Interesting Problem.

make a new paypal using a different isp (from a friends house, library) and just put random info and your college p.o box as the address. after you verify the account with a VCC, transfer the money.

Basically, I would suggest not using your ip for paypal anymore.
