That sounds so suspicious from the get-go that you would be stupid to dl.

 

It should be common sense for everyone to NOT accept any file over MSN. Whether it's a virus or not initiating a direct file transfer with someone can be dangerous depending on how skilled they are.

Any file transfers should be done over yousendit or rapidshare for example. Any picture someone needs you to see should be hosted on imageshack or tinypic.

If you are trading for something that isn't either of those (IE RS gold/pins/accounts etc) then there is no need to accept any file. It doesn't matter if they say you need to because you really don't. If they don't want to do it they safe way, tell them too bad.

If you are buying graphics or anything else, use the above steps I've mentioned.

thanks, even though i typically enjoy the challenge of downloading free "programs" then trying to remove them

 

I'm not sure if anyones told you this yet but you shouldnt accept .exe files

 

never download anything from anybody, ever and especially be careful to never run .exe's from sources that are not credible.

 

Just don't accept files from anyone you don't trust. It's one of the golden rules of the internet

 

You guys are so stupid. Its not the anti-virus you have, its just common sense. Get Sandboxie and you will be fine. If it doesn't work on Sandboxie, 99% of the time its a virus that has anti-enabled.

Cheers for the heads up, but never accept .exe files from another msn user unless you're 100% sure they are not going to mess around with you.
