Please explain

Can you explain to me how the pictures regarding Tyro's hacked MSN are fake? The poor guy is now left without runescape accounts, without promised money, and without a Sythe account for REAL pictures? Are you kidding me?

 

What does Tyro owe him? I will try to compensate with some money of mine.

 

But if he did fake the proof then you'll be paying a scammer? I also would like to see how this was deemed fake/invalid proof.

 

I mean give me the proof first and if Tyro cannot pay him back, I will.

 

I know mine isn't fake but its only for $5.00 USD, though I don't think any of the staff have looked at my report.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think anyone claimed the screenshots were fake.. the issue is above that, however I'm unaware when the issue will be publicly addressed

The way the pictures were presented, i'm not quite sure what that is getting at.

However, with Matt's picture not being faked. Should he not have been banned anyway? No hate on Tyro I try to avoid these things but the rules need to be followed 100% or not at all.

 

The situation is indeed fabricated, however we have not claimed that the screenshots were edited. At the moment I'm not sure how far into detail I can go about this.

 

How is it fabricated? Show the community proof before you ban somebody for doing the right thing - reporting a scam.

So we're banning innocent members over speculation when a member who should be held responsible for MSN, like everybody else, is let go? Really now?


Have the staff decided it's worth banning somebody for nothing in order to make their team look good?

 

This is what the community has a problem with, these kind of special situations where it's secretive over something that affects people and moderators shouldn't be kept secret. Why does it need to be kept a secret in the first place?

 

Because if they show us, we can voice our un-biased opinions and they can't have that.

 

It will be addressed publicly eventually. I'm personally not going to type up an essay on the subject, nor am I sure if this is the right time or place for that. I'll leave it up to Tyro or a willing staff member.. However I will say that the decision is 100% supported by the staff and has been discussed thoroughly.

 

It speaks to the secret nature of these kinds of situations and trust, fairness to all.

While i'm not in total agreement with that, things like this situation are what cause these "factions" in Sythe that seems to be creating all this drama recently. It's like a game of chess, and both teams are slowly losing pieces. It'll end in a stalemate with no one winning, and everyone losing.

I'm not sure, I couldn't give a real answer as I don't know the circumstances.
However! It does make a fishy, scheming feeling emanate from the SL boards. That will cause problems as this should have been public the entire time, it makes most people (Maybe not everyone, I thought it was odd) feel like there could be favoritism and total bias in favor of those who remain unbanned and those who are.

I can't give a ruling on it until I can see the "public address" that may or may not be presented.

 

Then why hide it?

 

This is hardly an issue about us looking bad. Don't make ridiculous claims when you don't know the story. You will know eventually, probably soon, so just be patient.
