Sounds to me like its somone elses fault, he just was lucky enough to get it as a display name change. ( Technically he got LUCKY, SO ITS NOT HIS PROBLEM)

 

You can't just randomly take 1 letter accout name, because they are really rare now. So i agree with nate, it was involved in hacking for sure.

Good point. It would involve EXTREME luck to just stumble upon such a name 'randomly' while looking for a name yourself.

Possibly though, he could've had all 1 letters on his friends list and watched them for a while to see if any had gotten changed. Maybe then, he noticed(well didn't notice a hacker had changed it but noticed it was changed in general) and carefully planned to take it on the day it would be available. Even then, a lot of luck would have to be involved imo. :x


Btw, are you only verifying it to certain people ingame? By one of Nate's statement, I think I might have a clue to which name it is though, but maybe I'm wrong about which is it...

 

I had all added, then saw one changed it to offensive name. It was only a matter of time when it would be taken away by jagex thus releasing the original name. I camped for few hours and there it was.

There is no point to tell the name here and ruin the image of the name for the buyer. You wouldn't want googling your name lead to a rwt forum thread, would you?

Even if he didnt hack it, he got it from someone who hacked it.

Reported for spamming. You have no proof. This guy has done nothing wrong (like you said). He simply got the name because it was available on the name change system. He's very lucky and you are very infracted.
