Facebook or Myspace?

Selling guide's thread (http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=901152) inspired me to create this thread. I want opinions, facebook or myspace, which is the better social networking website?

I myself just joined facebook and I have noticed already that is a lot more crowded than myspace. It seems that everyone just got up and left. The thing I liked about myspace was the customization, the ability to add themes to your profile, videos, music, top friends, etc. I'm not sure if you could do these things on facebook so someone can correct me if I'm wrong. I find facebook to be more organized and better put together but it lacks a lot in customization. It's also nice having 20-30 friends on facebook at a time compared to 2-3 on myspace. So why is it that everyone decided to pickup facebook for myspace and which do you prefer?

 

I thought Myspace was dead.

 

Don't use either anymore, but I always liked Myspace better.

The customization and ability to set certain things to your personal taste was a big deal to me.

 

Facebook is better. Myspace is exactly what no one likes on the internet. (At least from a web developer's point of view.) Myspace is just OLD. Who wants to see a shit load of animated gifs on every page? Who wants to hear some random song on every profile you visit? Who wants to be blinded by poor color choice? No one. Facebook is much cleaner, and is a good definition of a web 2.0 site. It's no wonder Myspace users just left when Facebook became open to the public.

Myspace is old and outdated. They should have redesigned the site when they still had a fighting chance.

 

Who uses MySpace anymore? MySpace backgrounds lagg their servers too much to bother. Fuck those faggots.

 

In my community Myspace is basically none existing.

I like MySpace better, you can design your page with HTML or CSS. I think that a lot of people on FaceBook are too obsessive with using FaceBook, my friends told me his aunt made a FaceBook for their dog... Also, a teacher at my school even went on FaceBook in a health class while another teacher was teaching, she just dropped in, I believe. Back then in the day, I used to be embarrassed to say I have Windows Live Messenger, so I told people "Do you have AIM?", and I would only let close friends know my Windows Live Messenger email. Also, I hate it when people just use FaceBook Chat, and not use Windows Live Messenger or get on AIM anymore. But I wish MySpace was more alive.

I have never liked these socializing websites, it's filled with a bunch of idiots playing retarded games and continuously inviting me to join them.

 

I used Myspace until everyone went away. So, Facebook.

 

Myspace annoyed me. It took HOURS to get your page to something vaguely near what you want + Only like 5 people I know used it.

Facebook is much better, I cba with all the customisation + It's much better to look at, use, etc.

 

Facebook is much more efficient and the ads are kept to a minimum. It's more aesthetically pleasing and more enjoyable to use.

 

Facebook seems to have a better environment...I can't explain why it's so addictive!
