    Mosque near Ground Zero

The people constructing this mosque were offered land further away from ground zero which they rejected.Throughout Jewish history, when land was conquered the Muslims would build a mosque.

There is now law preventing such building, yet at the same it is undeniably a slap in the face to the victims of 9/11 .

Possibly because they'd like a place of worship in Manhattan, and the land is available...?

    I wouldn't mind it.
why hate on the muslims? they mostly do their best to integrate.
yes, they do have a couple of weird habits but who doesn't?

would you mind a church next to ground zero? if no, why wouldn't you mind a mosque there?

I understand. I was under the impression that they wanted to build the mosque like across the street or something. Down the street or whatever is fine. My argument is invalid, I hope they have fun

Lets not talk "what if." Radical Christians weren't the ones who attacked the World Trade Center.

The housing, and real estate market has taken a gigantic hit in the US. They could've easily found land elsewhere in Manhattan. So don't give me that bullshit.

I don't know about some of you, but the families of the people who died that die. Weren't just ordinary protesters. They were angered and enraged. These people are doing it for the attention. They knew what America's reaction would've been. It won't be so good when this goes too far, and people are killed.

It's just land. As long as they have planning permission and funds to complete it, who cares?

It's just a building, just bricks. That's all, too bad most people today don't see it as that. Also to include that Muslims were also killed in the 9/11 tragedy.

Might as well just put up a big Muslim flag with "bitch got owned" on it.

Ya, I also have a habit of flying planes into large populated buildings. I'm trying to quit it though.

This largely peaceful religious organization killed thousands of innocent US citizens, and now they want to build a mosque, what they do to CONQUERED NATIONS, right on top of the spot?

Jesus get the fuck off the "conquered" bandwagon. So what if it's close to Ground Zero? Yeah, I understand that it may be offensive to some people, but the people who are building the Mosque aren't the same people who caused the events of September 11th to occur. Maybe they want to build a Mosque to PRAY. Like what most people do at a place of prayer.

Al Queda, a violent terrorist organization, flew the plane into the towers, not the religion. If the mosque was being built by Al Queda, the US Government would know and stop them.

Alright, the guys a Muslim EXTREMIST, but if a CHRISTIAN extremist went and killed thousands of people, and then wanted to build a church ON the spot, you think they'd let them? No, of course not.

And no, and I won't "get the fuck off conquered", because that's something in their god damn history that they do. Must just be a fucking coincidence...

And the guy leading the project needs millions and millions of dollars, where'd the money come from? He said he's "raised" it, but no one has seen this guy trying to raise the money, at all. Where'd that come from? It's not like I can change if they can or can't build the mosque. The thread asks for my OPINIONS about it, so I'm given them.

In my opinion, they should build something out of ground zero in order to create jobs.

Attacks similar to 9/11 has happened many times in the past, and it will happen again. Here are some quick examples of false flag attacks in recent history.

    Mosque near Ground Zero

ground zero was not invaded, the muslims building the mosque are possibly peace loving venerable members of the community possibly american born. Schnell i have alot of respect for you this may not have been your intention but you are batting at the embers of a racial-hate fueled flame war, i would like to stop it before it begins. I am approaching you and not the other guy because i know your an educated individual. Thanks :)

You took it the wrong way. I'm for allowing them to build the mosque, as I've expressed earlier in the thread. My intention was to compare 9/11 to known false flag attacks used to trick the people and international society into supporting war, to set it in perspective. In no way am I saying that building the mosque is like the Gleiwitz incident, the attack on WTC was.

I'm sorry if I was unclear.

    1) The Muslim extremists ARE NOT BUILDING THE MOSQUE. If a Christian extremist went and killed thousands of people, I'm pretty certain the US government will allow a church to be built by OTHER CHRISTIANS, not the extremists.

    2) It's in every religion's history; not just Islam's. Using the "conquered" argument is a weak stance to prove a point that need not be proven.

    3) There are millionaires all over the US. I'm sure some of them are Muslim. By the way, raising money does not always mean hard-selling chocolates door-to-door. I'm sure the organizers gathered investors using the same techniques a business owner might use on potential wealthy investors.

Yeah they can build it there, so long as someone crashes a plane into it so the arabs can feel some pain :)
