Well, recently my PC crashed randomly, and i had it restored, which happened to cost alot of money <_<

Before my PC was restored, i could play TF2 MW2 ect with no issues on highest quality with my 9500card

Now, i can play it for a matter of minutes before the FPS drops to like 5 and it becomes unplayable. In order to fix it, i have to exit out of the game and restart it.. then it just happens again in like 5 minutes.

So im virtually quit all PC gaming because of it,

It seems i have the latest nvidia driver ( 258.96 )

I have no idea what could be wrong,

im using vista 64bit with quad 2.4 cores and 6 gb of ram.

Never had the problem before my PC was factory restored.

Someone said something about a corrupt driver and deleting them and reinstalling? Now thats something i know nothing about. I know where my drivers are located, but if i delete my graphics card drivers wont my monitar like stop working o-o ?

I called up the guy who restored my PC, and he didnt know what the problem was either.

Please help me out, thanks :)

Your graphics card can run without a driver. It just won't run well. I suggest uninstalling then reinstalling your newest driver software. If that doesn't work uninstall and install the previous version. Keep on repeating until you find something stable.

    Google is your friend :)
I believe that the nVidia website does offer past drivers though. If not, check their forums.

Ok i found the old drivers.

Now just completely delete all Nvidia related programs off my computer, and install the driver of my choice?

Any idea if i will have to reboot or anything?

You'll want to go to your Hardware and Devices, find your graphics card under "Monitor" and uninstall the driver from there.

Reboot, and install your new driver.

That works. You're under the wrong tab in the control panel though. The one I was referring to is the Hardware & Devices tab.
