That is just irrational. Why would God create a system which demands suffering for sins, only to make himself suffer on our behalf? Couldn't he just eliminate the suffering since it is now nullified anyway?

omniscience and omnipotence is compatible.

If god is omniscient,he must already know how is going to intervene to change the course of history using his omnipotence. But that also means he can't change his mind about his intervention, which means he is NOT omnipotent.

But to directly answer you, I don't think it's wrong to worship something that created you even if it is selfish. Selfish is just an adjective, it describes you but does not define you.

Some of you people can't look past the fact that God may or may not be real. That's all you see in Christianity.

Christianity does more than just "feed you lies." It teaches you ethics, and morals. It gives people guidance in there life. Gives some a mission, and a reason too live. Now theres always some who take this too far, and are the stereotypical Christians you atheist think we all are.

Don't bring up things like the crusades, you can't base a religion now, on something that happened 700 years ago. in a two thousand year history there's gonna be some bumps in the road.

Success isn't just based off of smarts. It takes more. You need personality, which is something most of you THINK you have. Which IMO, religion helps give you personality.

 

Majority of the Christians i met in my live all basically gang up and corner any non Christian and try to convert. If you don't accept that as your lifestyle you are immediately considered an outcast and constantly get told to repent in order to save myself from eternal damnation.
