I'm not too sure I get this. Mass ban = massive amounts of people being banned at relatively the same time...
Isn't that what happened? Mind you, it wasn't an upgrade in their "detection system", but it was the act of a few J Mods manually perming people.

It obvious that there was a mass ban of some kind, but people have tried to extend it to scare people. From my view the ban was a 6-12 hour sweep and after that people are making fake images etc, to scare people from doing sw (probably legit players)

You can bot as many accounts as you want, even on signed, they rarely monitor IPs. It could be seen as siblings whom share an interest in a game, its been said many times before.

I thought it was weird that a Jmod would publicly state to legitimate players that the permanent bans were only temporary.

 

Doesn't matter if it's fake. Fact is, there was alot of accounts banned in one day there and perms are back.
