Vouching isnt just for trust though, its for skill aswell, maybe only allowing vouches for paid work.. I dont know it would be hard to regulate but vouches could be used in graphics to show the users skill and reputation, you just need to come up with a way to limit it being done for poor work such as what Gohan said..

I don't see how you can compare a "GFx" service to someone whose actually selling a real product like pins, selling graphics can honestly take 0 work and its a childish way for gaining trust in a market that you're not trading in. I'm all for vouches in the Gfx market to be allowed in the GFx market but your hunger for them to be allowed anywheres else is just your desperate jealously.

So your saying Gfx is nothing to do with a real product, pins are virtual gfx is virtual. FYI. Also when did I say I wanted to use the vouches outside of the Gfx market? You're about to piss me off if you say anything that fucking retarded again.

"Gfx" and "pins" both maybe virtual but Gfx is junk and sure it maybe creative, and the finished product might be amazing to both you and your customer but theres always going to be that handful of people that can always do a better job, with pins they're not junk and offer a better benefit to the customer then just a silly art piece.

And I don't see why you're fighting this out, if vouches in the GFx market will not be allowed in the vouches forum nor anywheres else how would this benefit you?

Same thing with pins, someone could sell the cheapest so they do the better job, someone might sell them faster so they do the better job. In GFX you know who is better so there is no need for that.

Lets see you make a work of art like this:

Made By Alteranz, is that silly art? Don't you think someone would want to take that without paying?

Art is art nor is it a pin nor an account its a signature or whatever you maybe selling and to compare it to something its completely unrelated to is hilarious, I might not be as talented as someone whose more experienced in Gfx like Alteranz but I honestly do believe it's silly and junk, sure its nice to look at but what does it really offer me? If you want to see real art go to an art gallery this isn't an art gallery its a place to sell games and talk smack.

If that was all true and thats all it was , was a "place to sell games" why would they add sub forums for graphics, videos, spam forums, coding, much more.

Because people like to complain a lot and get their way for new sub forums with long written suggestions although once again you can't compare art class to science class all those things are needed to keep people from closing the forum and going to another that has those options.

Yea ok you're right, lets just fuck everyone up and delete all the sub forums that don't have anything to do with runescape or "Matt Hasty's" liking. There we go a perfect sythe now..

Glad you agree, but before we go on just come to reality and face it this issue isn't going to be resolved with a big shiny sticker that says "success" because it was already turned down countless times before and nothing has changed.

Disagree. We could have a scammer come do a bunch of lame GFX and then say "50+ vouches, Trusted!" and scam everyone. *coughcough*

Matt hasty is just a ruhtard/troll.
But seriusly, you dint have to trust someone/put your own money on the line (except in extreme situations) for GFX like you do have to in runescape.

But in both places you have the option to use an mm, in market it's a person in graphics it's a watermark.

If nothing was on the line then why have to watermark?

The value of a vouch is determined by how the buyer percieves vouches. So why not allow them, and they will be worthless to people who view them as worthless

This. Isn't it the value of the vouches that count?

Then again I do see why this isn't allowed as well. Like with many other issues, I don't see how it's such a big deal. If the OP makes so many sigs and is so well known then trust shouldn't be an issue. At the end of the day it's not about the vouches, it's about you. It's about your reputation. It's about whether or not you present yourself professionally so others perceive you to be someone they can trust.

EDIT: And anyone who thinks that making GFX and GFX in general has no value needs to seriously rethink their own argument. It's essentially labor. You're paying someone for their time to create a product. You pay a MM for their time. You pay a skiller for their time. You pay people for their time all the time. It doesn't matter what they are producing. You are paying them money and trusting them to complete the assignment you have given them. Thus, it has value. I can understand why the OP is so frustrated with all the lowlifes trying to annoy him with half-assed arguments. If you're going to disagree, disagree intelligently.

There are graphics that are sold online that are worth substantially more than your pins and Runescape pixels, so get off your pedestal and at the very least try to see the situation from the OP's point of view. If you were him, and you specialized in graphics, how would you feel?

Yes, this is a Runescape cheating forum but it is also a lot more. You can't fault him for finding his niche in this community and trying to develop it.

    EDIT 2:
I could see you falling for this. Do you people not check whether or not vouches are legitimate or what the vouches are for at all?
I see people saying "if you're dumb enough to fall for it then you probably deserve it" all the time on this forum. This applies here as well.
Anyone with half a brain can easily tell whether or not someone is legit with a little research.

You summed this whole thread down to a very mature, smart post. Thank you. Now hopefully we can get some mods to look at this. I doubt we win but I would always love to express my opinion to the upmost degree.

That was less for the mods, who can draw those same conclusions, than for the members who continue to post dimwitted replies. I doubt they will change the rule, because in all honesty, the rule makes sense.

It isn't ideal or fair, but it's practical.

EDIT: I'm not sure why I didn't mention this before, but vouches in the GFX forum, if allowed, should only apply to paid work. I'm still unsure why the staff allow vouches for free services such as skilling, when you're not allowed to ask for vouches in return for free products. Why doesn't this apply to services as well?

I would love to see the ability to vouche for gfx's, i take my time out of my day to do payed gfxing and I am not able to get vouched or vouche for it.
You get paid for it. Isn't that all that matters? If the trade goes through (which it most likely will due to watermarking the work) and the buyer is satisfied, there is nothing stopping the buyer from making future purchases. He can recommend you to other potential buyers.

People get vouched for pin sales because Runescape Membership Pins are technically real items. They are buyable in-store, and there is nothing saying that the seller didn't buy the pin from a store and then resell it due to not needing it, however unlikely it may be. Pins have a set value, and as such can be used as a form of currency (ie: a pin is 1 month of RS membership). Graphics, on the other hand, differ in value and effort. It is very possible for one to just pull out MS Paint and draw a few scribbles and claim it is a signature.

People always say dont trust vouches they mean nothing if they are a scammer, if that is true then why not let us vouche for a gfx if it doesn't mean anything. Also you have to trust people in gfx trades hence why you water mark it.
If vouches mean nothing then why make such a big deal out of it? As you said, if people "always" say 'don't trust vouches they mean nothing' then why do you want them? What value does it have to you? You seem to be implying the majority of the Sythe community don't value vouches as a token of trust, and if that is the case, why request vouches for GFX?

As mentioned before, watermarking helps make GFX trades completely risk-free, which means it is not necessary to vouch the other party as it wasn't them trusting you which made the trade go through - it was the watermark.

So vouching would show trust as well...
Didn't you just say people always say don't trust vouches as they mean nothing? Didn't you just use that as the base of one of your arguments? >_< Contradicting yourself doesn't support your argument.

Others opinions on this if you are to lazy to look through
Why did you only list the opinions supporting your cause?

I understand that a lot of other services can be vouched which do not demonstrate the party is trustworthy, and I do not support them either.

Also in response to that, if its junk and silly you should just remove your avatar and your signature, look around every thread/buisness with a flash GFX has a good buisness, would you rather start a thread with just words or would you like to have banners, charts, layouts, signatures, avatars, etc.

The awnser is obvious. But wait, who is going to make these things? O wait, the "silly" people that make the "silly" "junk" in the gfx section can make it, and once they make it I'll never see them again and they will get no real credit for it.

If vouching were allowed people would get more credit for making work.
On average people spend any where from hours - days working on a single gfx if you spent that much time training a runescape account for free you would get a vouche, but if you spend this much time making a gfx even if you get payed or not you cant get a vouche.
