Last night I was thinking and...

I know someone who does that and he just happens to be my grandfather . The first skills he did was 99 mining and then got 99 smithing with the ore. He made all steel plates for 99 smithing and high alched them all to like 90 magic and got a good chunk of cash from it . He is also now in the top 20 (used to be top 10) for mining and he hates botters and bots. He thinks all the people that pass him in mining xp are botters lol and some prob are.

OT,This is how a lot of people played before the grand exchange.I mean they still bought there armor and weapons and such but all the supplies that could be gathered to train a skill usually where.

 

I played b4 the GE but I still remember world 1 spam.

The scamming and the the 'cool' items(phats and stuff) behind west bank but I still bought A LOT of my stuff from there.

 

Hunter, you need traps and such i think. To level from the beginning. I don't think you can get equipment from monsters, you have to buy from an npc

 

Either GE wasnt around or i didnt even know about it for first two years of me playing RS lol...

 

Yes, I have discussed this with my friend, and it would be possible.

Starting out seeing as they don't give you starting items anymore. You can kill goblins using training weapons provided in lumbridge, kill goblins, or chickens, pick up the items chickens for feathers, goblins for gold etc... It can be an endless process, but it completely defeats the purpose of a community, after all people have the items you want, why not just buy it from them instead of saving up gold by gold.

 

JAgex will ALWAYS being new quests/skills so yeah, no.

 

yeh there is, lesser demons drop them sometimes allot monsters do, and is spawn able some where in port yard

And yeah, I remember when everything would be sold there. I used to merch santa hats outside the bank when they were only around 100k a piece. .

 

theres a lunar spell that gives you a "hunter kit" which has traps etc.

 

possible, but would take ages.

 

theres a whole group of people that do this exact same thing... look on the rsof for a thread called DIY (I think it is a sticky). They do not trade and only use their own items
