Selling Auth-codes

Hi, as far as i'm aware, selling auth codes isn't allowed because it:
Cuts out the main seller;
can be banned.

However, according to this logic, selling runescape pins shouldnt be sold at discount prices, because it cuts out jagex, and take away profit from them. Selling accounts shouldn't be sold because it's cutting out other sells profits, and they accounts can be recovered. Selling gold shouldn't be allowed because it misses out the middle man in china.

I for one, as many others can, can get auto soulwarspro auths for $1, which i would be willing to sell. If i sold these here for $5, the consumer is saving like $10, and i could donate $1 for every auth sold to sythe.

runescape accounts can be recovered within minutes. If i was to sell them, i would offer a guarentee that you would get a new one if it's banned.

 

There not allowed to be sold as most of them get banned within a week or so not because of cutting the main seller.

How can you guarantee this, with runescape accounts you have recoverys as a safe guard in case something happens. While with auths you can't have a back up chance.

Yes I do. Anybody could sell 100's then resell them and the auths get banned. How would the buyer make sure he will get another one from the seller?


Anyway selling auths shouldn't be allowed as most of them are cracked, which means they are sort of illegal.

 

The fact is, someone could give you a fake pin, not give you any gold. it all depends on the seller. a test auth could be given to a trusted player

 

You are free to sell Auth codes, but not on sythe...

The price has got nothing to do with this rule, the rule is in stat because auths can be "re-gained" or "banned" with in 24/hours of the trade and most of the time its not the sellers fault.

Well I'll try now.

Most auths end up getting banned, even if the seller offers a new one in return how can anybody be sure that they will receive a new one. For all anybody knows the person may sell you a auth and then sell somebody else the same auths a week later. Once he has sold all the auths he would just leave and never come back and end up being scammed.

While with pin trades the pin can't be scammed back after it has been used and for account trading if the person properly tests the recoverys they can end up getting the account back.

 

They're simply not allowed to be sold because they can get banned within 1 day of the transaction and the buyer is obviously going to file a scammer report because the item they bought isn't no longer working.

 

A single auth can be sold multiple times and thus they can be banned very easily allowing for easy scams (ie. User A sells the same auth to 10 people get gets it banned, resulting in 10 scammed members). Pins can only be sold and used once, so they aren't as risky.

 

When you've bought a runescape account you know you're the only owner. This is not the case with auths.

 

Umm that doesn't mean the buyer is safe. I am able to recover some of my accounts even if someone else has there recovs set and email registered. How safe are they now? Also if a scammer report is filed, the auth seller would be banned, similar to other scams. There is always a risk trading these types of things, and there is no reason to ban the selling of auths.

 

people can buy auths for paypal.. sell them and charge back

 

I see this thread as a complete waste of time and some kid complaining that he can't scam people out of Auths for free money - quit trolling the threads with something that will never be allowed

 

It does suck for the legit sellers but realistically scammers will just emerge.

 

I mean yeah ur not seeing his points, 90% Of runescape accounts get recovered, if ur not the original owner, u dont have any back up because the original owner can recover it back 10x as easy,

Yes, but auth codes are usually a 100% scam, people will still use the codes after sold, which gets banned, or reissue them.

 

Yeah, I think that this shouldn't be against Sythe rules. I'm always looking for a bot to use for a few hours. Paying $10+ for it to use for an hour is a complete waste. I'd like to just kind of "rent" auth codes. Like I use it for a few hours, pay the person, and they can get it re-issued. Or I could just buy it for only a few bucks.

 

Jagex never ruined the game. I actually like the new RuneScape.

It creates higher demand for gold, thus raising profits.

It creates an ego to beat the system, thus raising profits.

If Jagex Didn't take moves against RWT, then the game will be LOADED with bots, gold traders, and ruins the fun of the black market.

No one would even bother going to Sythe if everything can be botted/gold farmed. Prices from competitors will be to low to even make profit.

On topic: Well, i agree auths should be sold because IMO, anything can be used to scam. You just need to know who you are dealing with.
