User Submitted Guides sub-forum reshuffle

This subforum is unpractical. Also for the authors of the guides, sometimes it's hard to select in which sub-forum your guide fits better.

Instead of this:

Couldn't it be like this?

With only Internet and Outdoors probably nearly all guides posted in Sythe would fit in. If they don't, that's why Misc is there.

De-organizing the section helps you find a guide? That makes no sense at all.

This would do the job fine, but it would cram a lot of threads those three sub-forums. I suppose it wouldn't really be a problem though due to the lack of activity in that section anyway.
I also think 'Other' would sound better than 'Miscellaneous' but that might just be me.

 

Yes, that's another problem. If there was more activity the sections would be useful.

 

It's fine as it is. Cramming software specific and general computing guides will only make things harder to find.

 

Then just use the search option. The main problem is for the people which make the guides.

 

Believe me, when I have a problem, I don't go on Sythe and search for guides. Sometimes I go read random guides just to waste my time.
