The thing I will say is if it was you who scammed somone then I believe you should be banned perm, but if it was your msn/aol w/e was hacked and then somone got scammed. I believe you shouldn't be burdened with it. I've dealt with this twice now and nobody believes me when I say that I know what it's like to be wrongly banned because somone did something out of my control. Which in turn both times were fake pictures.

I think anyone should be given a second chance, no matter how harsh the crime(but that doesn't mean they should get away with no punishment either).

And no one should be judged according to past crimes they did. But if they are currently scamming on another site, just not on here. I still think that is grounds to have a twc at the very least.

If they scammed on here, for $100 you think they should be given a second chance if they pay up? Or give back whatever.

I dont think this should come into place, people have said yes if they pay back what they scammed. But, given another chance whats to say the wouldn't try and go bigger that time?
    Eg,
    Scammer: Yay i scammed $5
Mod: Pay back for 2nd chance
Scammer: Ok *pays back*, makes new thread to sell acc
Victim: aww i got scammed $70
Scammer: Yay i scammed $70 this time.

    Hotcaveman
    Firecaper696
    Tacca

All were once legit firecapers, all have handled up to hundreds and even thousands of dollars that I made legit. Not a single scam. Ban evasion? Sure. Scammed? Years back (few dollars) off like a pin.

Once a scammer always a scammer? Wrong. 90% of the people who said that here are scammers or will scam. Yet I am banned, keep coming back and still don't scam a penny and all I wanted to do was make some legit money.

    People do change.

Am I asking to get back no? Will I be banned on this account too? Yes. Sythe staff are reckless and sometimes don't realize that they ban trusted people like me. Btw to add on to that I have accumulated easily over 100 + vouches on all of those 3 accounts. Even in my short time ask people like Tyr0 who have dealt with me and still owes me $61 what a nice and actually pleasant guy I am.

By the way before you guys ban me again, actually look up all those accounts in connection to my ip and acknowledge what I posted.

    Giving scammers a second chance.

lets say like, nate scammed like 4000$ then mods give him a secound chance, then he spend the money on account/pins and stuff gain more vouches, then doing a secound scam and make more money, bad idea.

Imo, if you scam RS items, you should only get a TWC. If you scam real cash, I think they should be IP banned.
    My reason:
RS is just a game, there aren't any real consequences with it. However, if you scam real money, it can become a matter which involves the police and/or state or federal lawsuits.
I don't think anyone wants that kind of publicity.

Unfortunately I used to have a friend (on Sythe) that was falsely banned because he was labeled a "scammer" because he mentioned that he used to phish Runescape accounts outside of Sythe. He was a very legit Middleman and had over 40 vouches, very well loved...
He was perm banned for it though, called a scammer by mods, and had all his appeals denied.

He holds a grudge against Sythe now though and is constantly scamming here. Sad. :/

Time is money, and RS wastes time, so RS wastes money! =O

I really don't think scammers should be given a second chance, if they had the mentality to go through with it in the first place, why should we trust them again to have rights to be on Sythe again?

    Giving scammers a second chance.

We're all trying to have a good time here and get items.

    Scammers ruin that good time.

They deserve to be banned. They do not comply to the standards of our community.
