Ghosts, Demons, Heaven & Hell. Are they real?

You honestly believe those stories your grannies tell you. They were most likely simply imagining because of old age. Stop dwelling in myths unless it drops on you right in the face. I will only believe once I see it for myself.

 

I don't believe it because my Grandparents do, i chose to believe these kind of things, as i think they are possible. Don't make fun of me for my beliefs, if you are going to do so, GET OFF MY THREAD. Bye.

 

I believe that there has never, ever, ever been an ounce of evidence of ANYTHING supernatural, ever.

So I can confidentially say they do not exist.

 

This is your opinion, just because you believe this doesn't mean it's absolutely right, you could be right, and then again. YOU COULD BE WRONG.

 

I belive in ghosts the other stuff Im not so Sure . Theres Definately Other things out there If its aliens Or ghosts but not demons and No heaven or hell . Ive had people see ghosts and that sort thing so i think that its a bit strange that they would lie Ive also felt things ect so Im not so sceptical .

 

Regardless of a persons opinion or any personal experiences they claim to have had, there is still no verifiable fact on which to form a conclusion to this topic. There isn't really any way that anyone can back up their opinions on Ghosts, Demons, Heaven and Hell.

My Mum is quite a big believer in Ghosts. She told me that a couple of times, she has woken up to see her mother (Who is dead) sitting on the end of her bed. She compared them to bright lights, in terms of how they looked. My Dad is very against the belief of Ghosts, and he won't have any of it, but a couple of times he has woken up too and seen them same thing as my Mum (At the same time as her). I see no reason why my Mum would make this up, and the fact that my Dad can verify it too makes it seem pretty real.

If you're interested in this whole topic, a good book to read is 'Angels in my hair' by Lorna Byrne. It's pretty interesting, if not a little odd.

Personally, I find it challenging to form an opinion on any of these things. I'm torn between the lack of solid, factual evidence and my parents experiences, and everything else I have read on the matter.

 

I do not believe in ghosts or demons. But I do believe in hell and heaven.

Demons, heaven and hell, no. Since they all relate to the catholic/christian beliefs which are just that, beliefs. According to the bible, the world was made 3000 years ago. Obvious this has been disproven as there is evidence of the universe being made at least 13 million, possible 13 billion years ago.

Ghosts are completely different, as that is not religion based at all. It may be possible that ghosts exist, however i think it is highly unlikely, i have no evidence of course, and there is no evidence anyone could have. My current stance is you're born you live you die you rot period.

 

You do realize that a vast majority of religions include demons, heaven, and hell? Buddhism, Islamic faiths, etc . . . All have some form of punishment awaiting the bad people in the afterlife.




Also, 13 million years? Before making a counter-argument to OP's discussion, or anyone's before that matter, please do more research.

You contradicted yourself in your post. Ghosts are a belief that there is some reemergence of life, or consciousness after death. Whether it be as minuscule as it is, that's a belief in the afterlife. That is a belief in life after death. And I will prove your statement on people having no evidence of ghosts wrong.

It seems unlikely that there are any but who can say for sure. Some things are pretty enexplicable without any of them being real so...

 

there is still no verifiable evidence of the exsistance of dark matter- but you still believe the universe exsists dont you? and no i highly doubt you've seen the universe (the night sky or pictures from google dont count).
also no verifiable evidence that the human conscious exsists- so im guessing that doesnt exsist?
dont believe me look it up the human conscious is just an ideal and no factual evidence backs it up the same goes for dark matter. BUT WE BELIEVE IT COZ TEH MEN IN WHITE ROBES SED IT IZ REEEEL.

 

While I would like to believe there is a heaven. I will not until it can be proven. I believe this is a good realistic mentality to take.

 

I have no beliefs in anything related to those topics. I believe it's all a bunch of bull shit. My explanation for the Bible being written is as followed; back the day's a few guys got together and had this great idea to write a book about a guy named Jesus. They then passed on the story to many other people who themselves added their on 'stories' to the main topic of Jesus being the son of god.

 

God gave his angels free will. What the fuck are you talking about?

 

certain religions denote angels as being perfect as opposed to man and the djinn who had free will and therefore could not be perfect hope that clears up any misconceptions .
remember its not just catholic-christianity we are talking about here.

 

Ghosts: Perhaps, I think it may be possible for spirits to exist, though I have never encountered one.

Demons: I think their existence is ludicrous

Heaven & Hell: I Think they are a man-made judgement system to keep to many people from leading wicked lives.

 

My attitude is very similar to yours, I believe that anything is possible, though I have reasonable doubts and need a bit of material evidence.

 

Absolute certainty is an impossibility, it does not exist. We cannot be sure of anything all we can do is wait until we die to find out the truth.
