Please note, my statements about surveying players is an educated guess.

Jmods don't tell a whole lot to Pmods to keep it out of the public.

Think about it though, how else are they picking out correct botters and perma banning them.

Find me 1 legit player who does soul wars 20 hours straight each night.

I'm sure there are many people that play 20 hours straight at a time, legit.

As for the person who is going to babysit his sw bot.. I wouldn't risk it. Remember that the bot has a pattern to it. You pretty much always run to the same spot when you run to the obby. With less people botting soulwars you will stand out more than ever now.

He just has player debugging on in rsbot.

As far as the thing that tracks playtime in soulwars and nowhere else- I call bs.

I don't know if you could really call bs on that, it would be possible, and come to think of it, there was a system update directly before they started banning. Really soulwars - thats like 3000 people, 40% so atleast 1200 people botting, i think that's enough for them to have to investigate to start with. There is a hell of a lot more botters in the rest of the game then you might think, that would be so much hard to constantly monitor.

There are people who play surprisingly long lengths of time, if they had a system in place they wouldn't be wasting jmods on manual bans, and pmods don't get any information on bot detection systems.

    So yes, I can.

Maybe, but still yeah, how ARE they picking out players to manual ban, as cody said, because runescape being a click to move game, its really not that obvious if you're botting. Especially when there are so many people.

I wouldn't expect it to be that hard- after watching my bot for awhile I'd have no problem picking out the other botters.

It's not looking good. Temp bans probably aren't coming back, but the tensity at SW probably will lighten in a couple of days. Proof: http://www.rsbots.net/forums/index.php?board=66.0

    Couple of posts down.

Also, I've been watching my bot, and I see lots of other botters back. They're not too hard to notice, in fact, it's almost painfully obvious.

All of the bots have an extremely similar movement pattern, and they very frequently stop for about .5 seconds, they also run around, randomly picking targets at the obby, generally low levels. They also tend to run in big packs at the start of games, in a somewhat different way than everyone else. They also instantly attack barricades that are in the way. Also, they tend to react slowly to combat and changes in the area. (respawning.) I am using autosoulwars pro, if you're wondering at all. (The only good one as I've heard.)

'Tis a shame, really. Jagex decided to reprimand users with a permanent ban when I still have to macro on my Main for 95 Prayer. :'(

Here's hoping that they don't nerf SW in some way. That would piss non-botters off too. Considering I played legit for so long, I don't mind losing my low level pure with very few zeals so far. I just don't want to have wasted 22 bucks on a prepaid card.

Just to stay on the safe side, I'm only going to leave the bot on if I'm at the computer, or out for less than an hour.

i dont think they would nerf it, if they did wouldn't pest control turn into a bot haven again? and its a good game, i think nerfing it would turn it into one of those minigames that no one uses again, and i think that's just a waste.

Although its been there for some time, and there has been soulwars mass bans before, but yeah i doubt they will nerf.

EDIT: Without botters the economy won't crash? and things would still be able the same ease to get, because as the prices rise, more people would legitimately get the things. But thats in a game with no botters, and really theres no making that.
