    Is this normal?

    Wtf does this mean?
I was sitting in my room and I stood up and walked in hall way, my vison went black and I started to get real light headed, then I leaned against the wall and just passed out. I feel on the floor and smacked against the door.
I woke a few seconds later, and my step mom was like "what happen?"
And I didn't know, I just like fell asleep walking.

Try not standing up so fast. Sometimes if I stand up to fast this happens to me but not so dramatic that I pass out.

This happens to me quite a bit, but I don't pass out. I think if you are sat down for too long and get up quickly the blood rushes to your head and you can pass out or just feel light headed. It;s perfectly normal.

Probably caused by you standing up after sitting down for a while, like the others had said. If it happens again for no reason then I would suggest seeing a doctor, but you are probably fine.

Also there is this thing which people do. They squatt and put their head down for 30 seconds, then quickly stand up. One of my friends told some person to do it in Physics and he collapsed. So it's probably something to do with you sitting down and coming up too fast.

Like what other people are saying, you probably stood up too fast. One time that I passed out it was because I was having extreme pain in my neck so my body shut itself down and I passed out (this is what the doctor said) but if you weren't experiencing any pain or anything I suppose you should just take it easy when you stand up.

You probably fainted. Were you in one place for a long amount of time then stood up? I have never done this, but my dorm-mate has quite a few times. Just every 20 minutes or so get up and walk a little.

This is because the blood flow in brain decreases drastically when you suddenly get up after laying down for too long. No big deal really.

It's a head/blood rush, to avoid them try to stand up and walk around more often. Don't spend too long on the computer/sitting down in one go.

It might not be due to that, guys. My cousin has this medical condition that causes her to collapse and black out when she moves too fast. I can't remember what it's called though. I suggest you get a check up. It might just be a head rush, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

I think you're looking for seizure/stroke. But really this is no biggy. However, it is a sign of something bad in your later age. WAYYYYYYYYY LATER. check it out if you don't feel comfortable.

It sounds kinda like you're having a mini stroke, but it could be anything really. You should probably go to the doctor instead of listening to us though. That's your best bet.

Probably low blood pressure or something similar. While it's nothing life-threatening, you should see a doctor if it happens again.

You may have been dehydrated, also.

It's far more likely to just be Orthostatic Hypotension (a sudden drop in blood pressure when you stand up).

This. Orthostatic Hypotension can be caused by diabetes (if you're a sufferer) or atherosclerosis (build up of fat in your arteries), so it could be down to your diet as well. It can also become more common with older age.

Just be careful when you stand up, be prepared in the case that you do have a blackout, and don't sit in positions which impede blood flow, or restrict blood flow to the upper body.

As I said, your diet could have a great affect though, try cut down on excess salt/saturated fats in your food.

I have low blood pressure, and this happens to me all the time. Most commonly it happens in church when I sit down for a while and stand up abruptly If you stand up slower you shouldn't black out. Best of luck
