Banning reason and list.

1.I would like a list updated every time a high ranking member gets banned like 50 vouches or $100 donator, I just find it interesting.

2. When you view a banned persons profile you should see what they were banned for, like say you have a a trusted friend on sythe and he gets banned, you're going to assume its scamming but then you see it was for flaming or something and you're still going to trust him, I also just find it interesting and it passes the time when I have to deal with not so smart clients lol.

 

1. Whether you find it interesting or not is irrelevant, sometimes some of the details can't be discussed.

2. Pretty much same answer as above, its always recommended to not trade with banned members...

 

Well would this hurt the site in any way, I don't think im the only member whos curious about what someone does and why he is banned, if it is personal then just write "not to be discussed with the public" or something like that.

 

Just visit the spam forum. It comes out eventually.

 

Ironically, this is your best bet. Plus I have no doubt that them publicly disclosing ban reasons would simply cause more drama and unwanted discussion on the issue.

 

I highly doubt it and u can just infract or whatever. What about the ban list?

 

Why not just label the people who were kicked for scamming somehow as "kicked for scamming" (since that is what most people tend to worry about). I like the idea, and definitely think it would be helpful if we could implement it in some shape or form.

I don't support this, I don't believe that high profile bans should be put on display for everyone to see what they did.

Expecially if it's because they got hacked and somone got scammed.

Why not? If they did something wrong, they did something wrong. I can't picture any reason when the reasons can't be discussed.

 

We never found out why daily was finaly banned...
But only the cool people find out in spam forum, a lot of it is by pm. A ban lost would be fun, just the like mod promotion list.

 

Another forum I visit has a banned list, it shows the Date the ban will be lifted (assuming it's not perm banned) and who it was issued by, and of course the reason; and the forum works just as well, it doesn't cause any problems.

 

Clearly I don't want to browse through 50 pages of crap in the spam forum.

 

Ban reasons are usually private and if a person is banned it's generally for demonstrating bad character (ie. scamming, hacking, phishing, etc...), so it's better you restrain from trading with them. The chance of someone getting permanently banned for flaming is extremely low.

The banned user list is not even viewable by sectionals, so I doubt we're ever going to publicize them.
