what shall i do?

So, PCworld, or rather, the tech guys didnt fix my laptop, and their "quality assuarance check" is laughable, nothing was fixed, noting was checked, so, im getting the laptop written off, and they have to reimburce me with what i payed for the laptop, that was back in 2006, and it was £505!! possibly more considering im going to take them to trading standards.

so, 505 quid, i can get a new laptop, or new desktop, OR BOTH! if i go cheep, but, they are still higher spec than what i payed for that 2006 piece of crap.
or, i could get, new laptop or desktop, with enough to get the wow battle chest, plus wotlk plus 60 days time, 150 days basically (trial key, normal wow 30 days, BC 30 days, wotlk 30 days, 60 days) then ive enough to buy moar crap

help me, look around the pcworld weby (uk one) and help me choose!

 

Get a laptop with no OS and install linux it will save some money

 

Just make sure there isn't an Integrated Intel Graphics Card, because I could never find drivers or figure out how to install the drivers for that horrible card. I own a Laptop with it, which I'm on, it's mostly used for browsing the web and running multiple stuff. Anyways, just look for a ATI or Nvidia graphics card in your Laptop if you're going with Linux.

If you want a desktop, custom build it, because it can be lot faster, cheaper, and more high quality.

Go for a laptop, portability FTW!

 

Desktops > laptops. I can build an amazing pc for the 1/3 if the cost of a laptop that has the same specs.

Unless you're going to college, travel a lot, or like changing places in your house (if all that is worth 3x the price) then go with a laptop. If you want a powerful pc and don't care about any that, desktop all the way.

yeh, probability of me getting a desktop, is high, ill probably just buy LOADS of games and software and shit for it, so itl be a monster
