I know the previous thread got locked, but what if the Members List is turned into a google search field instead?

There could be a google search added with the advertising program that searches Sythe, with the preset field "view profile:"

This way people can input the name and a google search comes up, with a few advertisements that have the potential to earn some revenue to support the website. Yes, people can just go to google and do it, however doing this will allow newbies to easily search the members without stressing the website from abusers.

I said easier, not faster. Also, using that method you'll find every single profile. The Google bot haven't found every one.

 

No, not like that. The search would be INSIDE Sythe.org and not Google. Google has an advertising program that allows you to search your own website and integrate it into your website.

I always use this method too, but the point remaining is having something in replacement of the members list is better than nothing.

I don't really see what problems there are with the current way (Sindres way) and why it needs changing.
